FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

If you want to experiment with the difference between high and low temperatures get the pro. If you do not really care and just wanna get high on a budget get the cheaper one. That's been my dilemma as well.

I just don't know what to expect since I've never used any sort of vaporizers. If the differences in temp have different effects, then it might be worth the upgrade.

Get the pro if you can you won't regret it. I think it's even more powerful than the 5S (they might have upgraded to higher discharge rate cells) It's clear that it heats way faster and once you get used to variable temperature control you can't look back.

It's really good to be able to adapt to every strain, their moisture content... or just the time you have at hand for your session! You can go slow, go fast... you can preserve the delicate flavors or get a big punch in your face! Control is freedom.

Hmm well if it's going to be your first and only one, maybe you want to get the more expensive one so you can experiment, and not be tempted to smoke. Lower temps are said to produce a more heady high, and higher temps more of the stoned relaxed high. Myself however i usually do vape in the middle temps (375-385) , so I guess thats a mixture of the two. There's a thread in vapor discussion about temperatures i think you would find it an interesting read.

Thank you both...you guys are right. I don't want to regret not getting the pro because of a $20 price difference.

Appreciate the advise! :)

I just got my FM5s straight from Smiss just the other day. It's amazing! I really wanted the Pro but I'm too impulsive and couldn't wait to budget in the extra money since I started looking around at cheap ass Titan IIs first and already went over my budget with the S. A second week of Ramen couldn't have hurt.

All I can tell you is if you can, get the Pro but, you shouldn't be dissapointed either way. It's no cloud chucker but the flavor is amazing! I found some of my 510 drip tips for e cigs fit nice too so I might search around for a nicer glass tip.

I'm sure you'll be happy with the 5.0s. I'm now alternating the 5Pro and the Mini (which has 3 temp settings like the 5.0s). I really like vaping at lower temps with the Pro for flavor, but the starting temp of the Mini at 385f gives plenty of flavor.

has anyone bought an Ed's mouthpiece?
i have for the FM5s. but i haven't been able to use it. I might be wrong. But you have to take the screw part from the stem off and attach it to Ed's stem mouthpiece. I can't get that part of the FM5s stem. It's stuck for me.

You gotta use the glass stem because it has a funny shaped grommet/insulator. When its warm spin it a few times and wobble it out. I thought I was going to break mine the first day I had it trying to remove it and after playing with it during a few uses it comes out easy.

So do the 5Pro & the Mini have different temp settings? Where is there any info on what they are?

Are there silicone stems available for the 2 new models with the 3 temp settings?

It's a LOT more about temp than brand if the vapes are similar, and these two are pretty similar in size/vapor path. I wouldn't expect much difference. If you want less of a hit on your throat and/or lungs, take your draws slower and/or lighter. Sucking hard on a short vapor path is always gonna get you a lot of hot air. If you're already taking it easy with your draws, all you can do is decrease the temp, add an extension to the mouthpiece for extra cooling, or find a model with more distance between the bowl and your throat.

Tried this 510 e cig tip today in the glass MP adapter. It doesn't leak but its a tad bit wobbly though I'm sure I can find something to stop that. Looks funny but its smoother than the original one IMO. I drilled the outer 4 holes in the adapter with a tiny bit, 1/16ths I think, and twisted the bit by hand. Barely opened those holes but it does draw nicer and a bit bigger. Also took it apart and realized how easy it would be to respray or air brush the enclosure if I get tired of black. Which I probably will soon.

I decided I got bored with black as I previously said and if anyone is concerned about the things paint app holding for some odd reason let me tell you, its not going anywhere. Spent quite a few hours soaking the enclosure in different strippers and it wouldn't remove shit. Finally gave in and have been sanding then wet sanding for hours only to get just one side nice and smooth. Today I'm grabbing Tal-Strip. That will do away with it. Then I'm painting it an olive army green and stenciling Combustion Sucks down the side, maybe.

I would just like to thank all of you for helping me decide on my first portable vape purchase.
Upon doing research and stumbling across this site, I decided to place an order for the Flowermate Pro
a few weeks ago and boy o boy am I pleased with this thing, I'm in love with the fact that I am able to
control the depth of flavor in my buds but am also able to crank it up and produce a heavier amount of
vapor for a faster medication. Absolutely LOVE this thing, again. Thanks guys!!

btw, I'm expecting some Breaking Bad Heisenberg decals to put on each side to decorate
it a bit, should look awesome afterwards :T

Also there is one thing I forgot to mention, I've looked on my flowermate box and do not see a
ways of going about my warranty. I have yet to scratch the authentication code but I doubt
that will give me any insight as to where to go to register for my warranty, can anyone assist me on this??

does anyone know anything about what car charger can be used with the FM?

I would think any 12 volt cigarette lighter to USB port adapter would work.

My second V5.0s arrived a few weeks ago, it might warm up a little faster then my first V5.0S (the semi-working one).

Guys I dunno if I've mentioned it here yet, but if I haven't then it is long overdue.

If you want an easy way to pair your FM vapes with a bubbler, @Ratchett sells a silicone 18-14mm reducer. It slides over the glass and acts as a heat-shield for the metal that connects the glass and the vape.

I alternate between the pyrex and my @Ed's TnT 14mm mouthpiece. In fact, I think tonight I'll hit the best of both worlds...Ratchett's reducer on top of my Ed's FM replica mouthpiece! Love being able to support both these fine gents who have greatly enhanced my vaping experience!

I actually got a water adapter from Puffitup, pretty cheap, works well with my bong :D (For anyone who uses bigger water pipes that is not a bubbler, the adapter is reallllllllyyyy nice

I've just ordered my Pro from Smiss. I was torn between the 5.0s and the Pro but being able to vape at a lower temp did it for me. The waiting begins.

Actually, the FM doesn't use a USB type connection. It's set at 9 volts (unlike USB) and thus the charger needs to put out 9V.

I googled flowermate "car charger" and found this link:

So about 10 days in the Mini continues to be a solid daily driver. I made these tweaks (suggested earlier in the thread) at the very beginning: 1) trimmed and pushed an SS screen down almost to the bottom of the bowl, to keep material away from all those little holes. 2) removed the screen inside the mouthpiece. 3) cut another piece of SS to place over the loaded bowl. This settup works great for satisfying draws and low maintenance, but the 5 leeetle holes in the mouthpiece get enuf gunked up with condensate that ABV powder will clog 70% of the holes at the end of the 3rd or 4th bowl. With fairly heavy draw resistance already I had to unscrew the mouthpiece to see what was happening, cashed or clogged? Fixed by drilling the holes out to 3/32" - condensate is no longer an issue between maintenance, plus I LOVE the new draw resistance. I can draw nice and slow while hiking, feel some of that manual control from the MFLB, and the Mini's still super easy to use and I can just hand it to a novice and say "draw slow." Turns out that control was the only thing I was missing from the MFLB - as the MFLB ruined me on combustion, the Mini has ruined me on the MFLB.

I was talking to someone at Smiss who has been helping me with my Pro order and i mentioned it would be good if they did a Pro version but in the mini size and she said they might have this version in the near future.
