So I got a Flowermate V5.0S and watch videos trying to understand how to pack the weed correctly, I use the little metal rod and fill to the top of the white part. When I draw on the vape it does work but exhaling only a small amount of smoke exits then when no smoke is visible I'm guessing there's nothing left to smoke however I don't feel anything (buzz and or high) like I do with my bong and I use indica for sleep and unless I grab my bong or a joint I can't sleep. I would rather use my V5.0S as I don't cough so why does it not give me a buzz and help me sleep ?.

This is the old model and has three settings, 385, 400, 415 and I tried them all. I looked and there is no attachment for the bong. It only holds about half the weed my bong holds (250 mg) and I thought that might be it, I should have said the room I rent is a no smoking house and I walk down the hill to smoke so a bong just would not work and that's why I got this Flowermate. Smoking a joint and having to light it would be highly visible where as the vape is discreet.

Yeah I'm not sure exactly why you see such poor results, it could be the processing of the material and how you load etc. that is a very old model vape though, super basic tech, so there are much better options for your situation honestly... I know you already have it though, but check out xmax v3pro
I ordered the Yocan Vane Portable Vaporizer yesterday but the xmax v3pro looks very nice, anyway I still think I'm doing something wrong as all the reviews were good.

Yeah, again so sorry, but actually that Yocan is an even worse choice tbh (btw the review industry is fucked those could've been fake)
So the Yocan Vane is not good, well $60 wasted I guess.

I had a fm mini and Aura years ago and I was extremely disappointed, they barely produced vapor as you describe. Fm5 HAS a waterpipe adapter btw, but it came out almost ten years ago as the vape. Since Fm5 is conduction you can try packing a bit more the weed other than starting from max temp and try to do some priming draws. Since the vape is "weak" by design more priming draws are necessary than if you had a better vaporizer, but after 1-2-5 priming hits you should see some vapor and get the effects, if there's no leaking .
It could also be the case that the vape is so old the heater has weakened even more and doesn't work properly, I'd try to get a refund if you bought it recently.

Awesome. I’d try to keep max temp and packing the whole oven every time, and play with tamping the load until you get the bast vapor you can get. If your goal is quitting smoking try to stick with the vape without any bong hit or joint for a couple of weeks, maybe more if you are a strong smoker. Until then you will always miss carbon monoxide poisoning that was part of your high until now. The fact that the vape isn’t great is not a plus, you could eat your already vaped bud afterwards and get some extra kick out of that.

Just what I thought. I was a happy weed smoker for more than 20 years and it took me almost 3 years from start vaping to quit smoking. For me this is a lot about the device, as it has to be hard hitting, good tasting and fun to use to keep me from my formerly beloved smoking. Flowermate devices won’t do the trick for one single day in my case. I highly suggest the Arizer Solo 3, buy once cry once. This thing would have stopped me from smoking way faster for sure.

You may have bought two duds, but you are in the right place to be better informed going forward. I always wanted a Vane for a ultra portable on the go pocket vape, even if the vapor quality and device seems awful.
To replicate the affects you like from smoking you need a high temp and ability to deliver the amount of active ingredients. Since you have conduction devices, pack the oven tight and full. Heat can't touch the material if it's just flopping around in there or has a lot of air gaps. This is where I see people go wrong, and why a lot of people think they hate the Pax.
On the temps, just crank that to max on both devices. 415F isn't high enough to truly extract the actives, but the temp numbers are all approximate and not a good representation. For instance, my xmax v3 Pro gives high temp extraction at 371F. So treat the numbers as a heat setting and go from there. Get the material inside to coffee grounds color and decide/back off from there.
There are a lot of sales on right now for good vaporizers, and the xmax v3 pro is a solid choice that won't disappoint in the effects department. Personally, I feel 420edc has a great deal on this device in their bundle if you select the glass WPA and dosing caps. It's a beast through glass and can expend a dosing cap in a single massive high temp rip if you want.
