Discuss the debate between Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama.
Romney won the debate...even NBC admitted that which is hard for them to do because they lean left. Fox News of course leans right and agreed that Romney won. The President seemed unprepared because he's not used to getting tough questions and getting called out on things in public. Romney was really aggressive and drew a line in the sand between his views and President Obama's.
I'm an independent who used to be full Republican and right now I'm very much in favor of voting for Mitt Romney but I'm not going to finalize my choice until after all the debates are over. The problem to me is the voting system which is why I agree with the proposals to require ID when going to vote. It's not that difficult for someone with a little bit of money to throw around to go to a poor town and tell them to go down to the local polling place and vote for (insert candidate of choice)...all for some easy cash. Prove it, right? That's the hard part, however if you look at the last election you will see tons of news references to shady voting circumstances....ACORN ring a bell to anyone??
I feel that a lot of people in the 18-30 age bracket don't spend too much time focusing on the issues, they just vote for who they're friends are voting for, or what they "heard" a candidate is going to do, or who has better speech writers and seems more "cool", etc. Tonight they didn't see Mr. Cool, they saw an unprepared President who never capitalized on the "47" comment or mentioned his own Stimulus/record during his first 4 years. Mitt Romney articulated very well during the debate and always responded to the false claims of President Obama which I think was a great idea...he didn't give up, he responded point by point, and called the President out. I loved the "I've been in business for 25 years and have no idea what you're talking about" along with some other moments.
Another thing to understand is that the major television networks as a whole favor/lean left wing (in favor of Obama)...CBS, NBC, ABC all lean left...CNN is about 55% left 45% right.....MSNBC major left....Fox News major right. The odds are well to the left agenda that's why it's so important for people to check all the facts and come to their own choice on their own. NONE of the TV media outlets provide a completely unbiased reporting of the candidates although they claim they do.
Before you respond, remember that it's OK to have different views. I don't deserve to be bashed by those of you who don't agree. Let's agree to respectfully disagree, ok? =)
