I was half joking about the age thing.
Just seems like everything is catered towards the younger crowd around the Cup. Music lineups are mostly Hip-Hop (is it still called Hip-Hop?
), and all of the videos that I have seen just kind of scream high school/college bender to me. (Just my opinion and I am wrong once in a great while 
).And don't get me wrong, I grew up listening to Snoop D O Double G, and would love to see him live (or Snoop Lion
).Either way, would love to meetup with some/most of you fine folks from da FC hood. There has to be a good way to organize this. Last time I was out in Amsterdam I met up with some fellow enthusiasts from another forum for a toke and talk and it was a blast. This forum is so much better so I can only imagine the fun we could have.
There must be some kind of banquet hall/bar/back alley that would accept our professional group of Vapor Enthusiasts. Hopefully someone with some better knowledge of the area will get involved and give us some direction.
In the mean time maybe we should get a username list going of people who will/would/might want to join in the fun.

@lovinlivinlife I'm a local, but not planning on going because none of my friends want to deal with the crowd. I too did not want to fly solo. So if you think you might be interested in going, shoot me a PM.
Local 420 friendly places is pretty limited overall, and I'm guessing they will all be packed. Honestly, though, I've never seen the cops harass anyone over puffing in public.
I'm in for a meet up. I'd offer to host if I could convince my wife it was a good idea, but that's a no go.

I'm down for a meet up but I'm not a big crowd guy, vaked or not. My mmj keeps me on an even keel and I don't think all the meds at the cup could relax my crowd anxiety. I just don't do them.
So I'd sugest having our own shindig and have a "vaporists cup". I think cannabis cup would be a little hectic for my liking. Plus I'd rather get to know our wonderful community rather than the whole damn country of cannabis lovers crammed in one city. My
If I had to guess during the cup, hotel prices will be jacked up along with everything else making it way too commercialized. Fuck big business!

So I just got off the phone with Tom from Club 64. LINK
Super helpful guy that has a few possible locations available for the meetup.
I need to get back to him by Friday on when/how many people/how long of time to lock something up for the either Saturday 04/18 or Sunday 04/19.
Looking at about $20.00-$25.00 per person depending on membership purchase (guest membership $15.00, month membership $20.00 + $5.00 application fee)
After discussing it with him probably would work out better if we did it in the earlier afternoon as the club wouldn't be so busy. That being said if we get enough people we could also possibly rent out a full private space.
So all I wanna know is one thing...

I haven't done much reading about it, but thought I'd share another option.
As far as trying to meet up at the cup, it just won't happen. And if it does, you will have nowhere to sit, hang out, relax, dab. Just too many people and not enough space. Plus, who wants to try and meet new people over the sounds of endless cough fits and horrible DJ's at every booth.
Meeting outside of the cup is much more plausible IMO, but then there is always the struggle of finding where you could meet up, and also the potential cost if the meet up is held at one of these clubs. A free location would be best since I'm sure more people would be on board, but unless there is a native who is super awesome and accommodating, then I think that may be wishful thinking. In a perfect world we could just set up in a hotel room, but alas, this world is far from perfect.
That said, the idea of an FC meetup sounds like a hell of a good time. I just wish I had some good ideas..

I dont think they have an actual website,but search for Gary's rec room......a "friend" on another site was talking it up pretty good.....only $5 to get in and im not sure how big the joint is.......probably going to be crowded as fuck but what the hell......

@ctxgooner - Saw Gary's Rec Room also but it only holds 20 people total so like you said probably crowded as fuck.

Hoping to drop in town somewhere during the 1st week or so of April.
Count me in for interest for a meetup. I'd have no problems with chipping in to secure a meeting place.
Although last year a similar "meetup" was proposed, the only FC folks I saw were Brian from VapeXhale and Brad ala Gordo Scientific.
Funny little story, I see Gordo and Fogz glass booth at the Denver Cup last year. Introduce myself to Brad, chat about a few mutual acquaintances, invites me back to chat/dab. I offer up some fire @ass skywalker honeycomb/crumble, hand container off to Brad, he awkwardly handles it dumping a good chunk to the ground(total accident). No biggie, I'm a baller who could spare to lose some(lol jk). We all laugh about the accidental spill, Brad apologizes and offers up some shatter to replace my honeycomb, all good. Met up with him again later with my buddy and we rang in 4:20, on 4/20 dabbing shatter with torch and Honey Badger.
Really cool, talented artist, just don't hand him your stash lol.

I just signed up for pre-festival work. Work 2-8hr days getting the event ready, then I get a 3 day pass to enjoy the Cup. I figured it would be a cool way to meet some new people as I am relocating there in a week. I haven't been accepted yet(takes one week to hear back) so who knows.

yeah that is perfect for you in your (extremely enviable) position. Since we are only going to be in town for a few days, we are just gonna break down and pay for tickets. I am curious about the cost of living etc though,a s I work remotely and could do it from anywhere...

@matthend -- I didn't mean to make it sound like I was suggesting that volunteering met anyone else's need but mine. Although, there are some Colorado members here(as well as lurkers who live in Colorado).
I realize that route is not really valid for the majority of folks going to the Cup.

@Silver420Surfer - lol no worries at all! It did cross our minds that it would be a good way to meet people before the cup if we wanted to come out a few days early and help set up (probably more of a 'highdea' actually)

With the constant influx of students at universities, IT industry 2nd only to Silicon Valley, and boom of natural gas, the housing market is having serious trouble filling the rental needs as well as home buyers. This is all, again, from someone relocating there, not an actual native or resident.
For those that may have a passion for another "green", there is another volunteer program for people wishing to help clean up, during and after, the Cup. Again probably more for those that live in CO, but maybe we have some environmentally conscious FC folks or lurkers who may find this info useful.
