Yup, yup, @pakalolo and I pm'd and I get both sides. Now, on to the cup! Man, like I said earlier, I can't really fork out for that big ticket item until after Christmas, but if there is a plane ticket, a friendly hotel room, and a ticket to the cup available at that time, I'm all over it. It's been a while since I've gone on a vacation that I wanted to go on! Unfortunately, right now, I have to pay for a week reservation in South Florida at Christmas time (I'll be lookin' for ya DH!, lol). But damn it, I want this happen so bad...so like I said, if it's available just after Christmas, I will have the fundage to do it.

since the Cannabis Cup is always in the middle of Summer you should have plenty of time to budget.
I guarantee you won't spend as much on planning this trip as you will want to spend on 'goods' the moment you arrive :science:

Ok now I'm confused...I have you saying it's middle summer and some others saying April. Is there a definitive date yet for the 2015 CC in Denver?
Oh and don't worry, I will have enough by the time we go to be able to sample all the pleasantries :)

@Silver420Surfer It's not just for me, it's for all of us here...That might be more conducive for us since it's an OIL cup...what say you @Naeco06? I would think this would be better for us...maybe less crowded than a full blown CC?
Chime in community...let's hear about it...CC or 710 Cup?

sorry I don't know why I said it like that.

I've been out of school for years so I don't keep track of time by the months on the calender anymore. "Summer" is just anytime it starts getting hot outside. the past 2 Cannabis Cups have been during gorgeous, warm weather that felt like the middle of Summer around here.

it's always 4/20 weekend starting Friday and ending Sunday.
the 710 Cup is fine, but I personally don't think it's as much fun as the Cannabis Cup. it's less than half the size which means less than half the vendors which means less than half the merchandise/product.

if you could only do one or the other I would go to High Times.
the Rooster is a local awards show where High Times draws an international audience.

I don't care about crowds. I care about experience.
the crowds at High Times were not an issue, anyhow. no dab line took longer than 2 minutes, food never ran out, and it never felt so packed that you couldn't breathe. it's a 3-day long event.

I would like to suggest that for those of us that don't have a buddy in CO. like some others that we pool up for a group discount on getting some rooms to stay in ahead of time. I'm thinking about 3 months out or so. Thoughts?

The CC has been super crowded and super crammed the past two years, but everyone is very nice and polite still. However, navigating through a crowd of stoners is pretty much hell. Remember, many of the people that attend the CC are "newbs". So they are completely out of it and pretty much in everyone's way. :lol:

@CrazyDiamond an @ichibaneye ..I attended last years Cannabis Cup In Denver..it was awesome. Lots of people..everyone enjoying themselves..no fights..just peace love and understanding:love:
we stayed downtown but looking at the Comfort Inn right by the convention center For 2015. Reasonable rates...canna friendly. And the convience of being able to go back to your room to chill is worth it. we flew in on friday..went to the concert that night..a local friend picked us up on sat..hit some dispenceries..ate some great food.. and sunday spent the day at the cup. Wish we would of went on sat too as there were so many booths..we just didnt get to see everything. But its all good. Excited for April 18-20 2015.. btw..next yr we will get the 3 day pass which included the glass show on the first night.

Excellent, thanks for the info. I like the idea of going both on Sat./Sun. to the cup. How much is the pass you are talking about? Is someone among us willing to start doing the planning? I'm up for pooling in all the money we have to get better bang for our buck when we all go shopping and what not all around. Thoughts, who is with me on this? We could even get more guys and try and pull down a group rate too. :rockon:

Around December/January the VIP passes go on sale at a discount, keep an eye on the HT CC website. I think we saved $60-100 on our 3-day VIP passes last year. I would highly recommend going sat and sun, as mentioned, so many booths and things to see in one day.

@Silver420Surfer ..agree..cheaper to get tickets early.. also hotel prices by getting them early were cheaper.. I am thinking $99 or $109 a night which is reasonable..and I would suggest getting that reserved first. With the cup being Apr 18-20 you do realize that is Sat..Sun..Mon for the next cup right?. Believe there will be 6-8 of us going from Indy

Meh--Not big on hotels. I will rent the house we rented last year. If you have 6-8 in your party, I would suggest a house rental, much cheaper, nicer,bigger,etc. But we went for a week not just the weekend.

@Silver420Surfer we looked at houses but it was a weekend trip. Flew out Fri Morn and took the train home on Sunday night as I could only get a couple days off work. . Now this next time we have a few more going and I can put in for a few extra days off. Last time it was my daughter, cousin & me..next time other friends are going too

So I just found out last night that Mrs P has already purchased plane tickets and reserved us a room in Denver for the 2015 Cannabis Cup. We will be there all three days. This is a belated honeymoon for us so we're very excited!

I want to post up and see if anyone else is planning to go. Tickets go on sale in the next couple of weeks so she's going to grab us a couple when they do.

If anyone has ever been to one of these and can offer any advice, Im all ears!

I wanted to start a thread so maybe we can have a FC meetup and put some faces with names!
