Ok so everyone is up for the buy-in. I think we should just keep it at $10 for this year and we can always raise the stakes next year.
Next up is how to handle the money. I'm ok with that site previously suggested(leaguesafe.com) but it looks like they charge a small fee to withdraw the winnings at the end of the season. I could also just handle it all myself via paypal if that's easier. I'm also open to any other suggestions, though we should get this done quickly so everyone has paid before the draft. Don't want anyone backing out just because they had a bad draft.

I just found the fee schedule for leaguesafe and wanted to inform you guys... $5 for echeck, $7 for rushed paper check, and $1.50 for standard paper check.
I'm happy to handle it via paypal if that's what people want. Either way is fine with me. Majority vote will decide it.
Also I'm leaning towards an 80/20 payout. That cool with everyone?

I commission two other leagues and one of them has guys that like to pay with paypal. I don't mind, but our buyin is $65 and paypal charges me $3 per transaction after the first couple of them. Just check into this before we all start sending money via paypal. I don't know what they would want from a bunch of $10 payments.

If anyone is uncomfortable with it and would feel better sending it to me since I've been here forever, I volunteer since I already do that shit for two other leagues and have a system in place for it...your call. Not that I'm looking for more administrative duties, but I thought I'd offer it.
And I'm not into third place money either. Honestly, with such a small pot, I think it should all go to the winner so at least one of us comes away with a quarter of dro!

paypal is fine with me, im also fine with sending the money i trust everyone here...and thats why i suggested the 15$ buy in sticksandstones, for an extra 5$ and with just 1st and 2nd payouts its like 1st wins a qtr and second wins an 8th lol...but it seems nobody else likes that idea so well.
For 10$ buy in id prefer an 80/20 payout but im very easy going so if everyone else wants 1st place to take the entire pot thats fine with me

If you want to talk rules go ahead and start a thread on the league site. I just figured we'd finish the money conversation here since it started here. I'd also like to keep this thread going throughout the season as I just think it will add to the fun
One of my first thoughts about handling money was to have it sent to you(stickstones), Stu, or JD since you guys have been here a long time and can obviously be trusted. Then I thought I wouldn't want to burden you guys with any responsibility in this unless there's a need to. It looks like most everyone will be comfortable sending me the money and I'm ok with that too.
I'd rather not do snail mail. I'd like to get this wrapped up before the draft.
As for fees, I believe there isn't any as long as it's "sent as a gift" in paypal. I've never received 9 gifts in a couple days though. Is that what triggered it in your other league? EDIT: I just googled this and it looks like we wont have any fees as long the money is sent either as a "gift" or "payment owed" in paypal.

I'm more of a fan of the winner-takes-all approach. I'm cool with sending the loot via paypal or snailmail, or that leaguesafe site. Whatever works!
Although, it seems a bit of a waste for me to send it out when I know it'll just be coming back home to daddeh.
I'm wondering what strain I should look for with the winnings... ahhh, such joyous planning. Headband, to go with the sports theme! Alaskan Thunder **** to remind me of how hard I'll be giving it to you droogies? Oh, the possibilities. <cackle>
