Bias can be seamlessly introduced by omission, manipulative language, or storytelling technique.
These incidents are usually the most compelling pieces of news and they are typically even more compelling to their demographic because of their inherent bias.
By default, every audience wants to be told what they already know because that creates positive feelings in that audience prompting them to consume more of that product.

If you value high quality current event input do not focus on individual events, anecdotes, or stories. Focus your attention on aggregated statistics, broad trends, and peer-reviewed studies. Fill your brain with data that lacks emotion, because emotion will always be manipulated for reasons that are not designed to benefit you."
