Usually the slower the speed, the lower the temperature because of the duration the hot air passes by the herb. I found that I got extremely milky bags with fan speed 1, almost two milky. I prefer to fill the bag at bag speed 2, I think there is a point where the air/vapor ratio isn't thicker is always better (for me at least). I also think the bags are sufficiently at fan speed 3, most of my friends just fill the bags with that fan speed because they don't want to wait for thicker bags. I guess it's nice to have all these choices, kudos to the Arizer!
I disagree. I believe that the slower you draw, the hotter the air traveling over the bowl because the air doesn't cool as much. The faster air travels, the more it cools.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Faster air flow = less time for air to be heated and vice versa.

Seems to be the case with most of the vapes we've seen I think. Units with so called fuzzy logic controllers could be an exception, if they worked flawlessly (which they don't seem to ex. SuperVapezilla "Vapor Logic Digital Temperature Controller") then the temp would remain the same regardless of draw speed.

You're right, which is why I wrote, the slower the speed the lower the temp needed. I guess it makes more sense in my head than when I type it out.

My Evolutions had a fuzzy logic controller in it, I can't tell if it worked or not but was supposed to adjust to the way you took hits. Either way, the Extreme seems to hold its temp good enough where I don't ahve complaints

if i wanna get rocked quick i crank my e up to 200, 190 if the goods are bone dry. put in about a large pinch of well ground matter. the slow part is wait till the weed warms in the bowl, about three min. now attach the whip and draww pretty hard and quick about three times kinda like a syphon action use a little blow back to push the weed back down out of the screen, and then take a big drawusinghard even pressure .whoa thick ass vapor.. my stuff goes up in the screen but does not block air flow..
i found that keeping those screens clean is very important. if it gets muked up the efficiency of my e suffers dramatically.. i just keep a screen in alchol soaking in a little med. bottle and change it out about every three days..
itis hard to describbe to someone how you hit a whip.. its like puff, puff, puff, blow back a quik burst, long deep hit..
i do this with every draw and get about 6 huge hits of extreamly dense vapor then i get 3or 4 ok hits..

That's a good point, I have not had as much success with the whip than with the bag mode. I will give your methodology a try. One thing I love about this.....testing and R&D is always fun with your vapes!

I went with vaporay's routine last night. I didn't get as many hits as him, but I am currently using cheap weed. It was thick and I am going to keep working it tonight. Afterward I switched to bags, only for convenience's sake.

Yeah vaporay! That's what we're trying to get here! I wish I had your selection of herb!

I've been using the same method as vaporay. Give it a few short sharp tokes to get things moving in the bowl, then a long slow draw. Had a bunch of friends around who haven't used one before, but admittedly don't smoke a whole lot, and we were all pretty rocked after a couple of tokes each. They picked up the whip quickly, and enjoyed it alot more than smoking.
Don't know whether it's more or less economical to the bags, seems roughly equal to me, but I find either way to be more economical than smoking.

I found the whip mode works best for me when I turn the fan on to setting 1 and just slowly inhale the vapor. I don't assist the fan at all because I end up sucking up some herb into the top screen and slow the flow of vapor. I found at setting 1, you can get very thick, consistent hits (just like a bag) and the benefit of fresh vapor that hasn't been sitting in a bag.

hahahaha i haven't laughed that hard in a longtime lol thankyou..
I'm sorry about that i just thought maybe some people in here weren't checking in the other thread so maybe they'd check this one that directly refers to the topic.
Thanks.

Extreme used in whip mode only means buy the Digital V-Tower (same vape but no bags). And I would pass on the V-Tower and buy the SSV or DBV instead, unless the ergonomics (top loading whip with swivel action) is a priority.

Us FC'ers check all threads. ;)

What works great for me is taking an extra FLAT screen and put that on top of the herb (don't pack it tight) to make a sandwich. Now the screen of your whip will never get clogged:D

Good tip! I usually have this problem with bags over whip due to the ability to clear the screen with a slight puff (out) into the whip when it is in whip mode (especially with concentrates/extracts). Currently hitting the PD and setting up the Extreme to warm up for maximum performance, but will try this method with the stickiest (;)) vaporizables I have (and will edit in my findings into this post soon). Thanks for sharing your ideas! :peace:

That's a great idea, thanks. I'm going to have to give that a try.
