Extreme dizziness upon come down?

While on the come down today I began to experience severe vertigo (dizziness) as well as a very painful pressure in the ears. Has this happened with any of you guys? I've stayed quite hydrated and have eaten well today and have been healthy as a horse.

-What kind of vaporizer are you using?
-How long have you been vaporizing?

I ask these two questions because when I first started out vaporizing I was switching over from a 3-5x/day smoke habit, thinking my tolerance was through the roof. For about the first 3 months of having a vaporizer it was like the good ol' days again, no tolerance whatsoever, which ended up being a bad thing at times. I had numerous situations where I would green out after only 2-3 hits because my DBV got me so high.

Hang in there, once you build a tolerance to the vaporizer it will be like drinking tea.

Mathair Naduir,
option 1 is your overly hydrated.

option 2 is if this happens again upon using your vaporizer you need to ditch it asap or ditch the bud/dealer, do you know who your getting your bud from? you know how easy it is for a careless dealer to accidently drop or have something sprayed near the bud that you could be smoking and of course have a adverse affect. my humble opinion is that this is more likely the cause then anything, although since im not a experienced vaporizer, i cant say if all chemicals and such are filtered via vaporizer.

option 3 if you get this again and your vape or your water isnt the problem you should most likely go to a doctor for a general checkup and of course tell him/her

I've been vaping for about a year now and my greens come from one of the most loved dispensaries in Michigan. I was using my VG In this particular instance. Thanks for the responses. Little shaken by the experience and will report more after the morning comedown.

was gonna ask what your smoking on, but you are getting mmj, so im sure thats not the issue.

maybe it is a tolerance thing. if you are new to vapor then you might not recognize the high the same and could easily over medicate.

my guess it maybe your blood sugar was low at the time? did you stand up quickly or something?

You might simply have a minor ear infection, and it is only upon coming down that the symptoms become noticeable? When I was a kid, prior to having some surgery on my sinuses that greatly relieved my myriad respiratory issues, I used to get ear infections quite frequently. Sometimes, whatever nasty little bug is causing the infection managed to stay quite localized, so I would not have any other symptoms anywhere else, even my nose which was right next door would be clear and asymptomatic. If it doesn't clear up in a few days, definitely see a doctor, they will be able to tell you fairly quickly whether it is an ear infection just by looking in your ear.

Vertigo, pressure in the ears . . . sounds like it could be tinnitus to me. Sometimes my attacks start with sharp vertigo, out of nowhere, then I get this weird feeling like my ears have just been "boxed" :ugh:

Tinnitus isn't a disease, it's the symptomspecifically the ringing sound you get in your ears (like if you've been "boxed").

He didn't specifically list tinnitus as one of his symptoms...could you elaborate on what gives you your 'attacks'?

see a doctor

This is almost always my vote. Very few people have regretted seeing a doctor about something. Plenty regret not seeing one.

Symptoms have subsided but have a slight ringing in ears, doctor could not find anything wrong and called it a fluke.

Once again I say tinnitus. I have been vaping for a year and noticed an increase in my perception of this phenomena. However, I also have systemic inflammation issues that might be aggravating that wonderful 8th nerve where all of this comes from. I am working with a hearing specialist at this time for this problem because the sudden, intense, vertigo really bothered me (what if I was driving at the time) plus not only the ringing but the loss of hearing for a while. What I call the "boxed" feeling. My hearing expert advised me that these are "normal" variations of tinnitus. She also noted that trying to chase down the exact cause would not only be costly but would probably provide no real, actionable, results . . . we soldier on.

I thought posting the wiki for it may be helpful Tinnitus Wiki

read through this great info source. there are things you can do to help it. not get rid but help 'deal' with it. Something to make background noise helps 'mask' it. a fan, radio, there are the "sound makers" that have like ocean, rain, heart beat, rain forest, summers night, that sorta thing helps a GREAT deal at night, as it should be obvious the more quiet your surroundings the more it stands out to you.

do you take in lots of salt, caffeine or nicotine?

or have you recently stopped or cut back the use of them ?

both using a lot and/or a cut back can both make symptoms worse.

to put it into my own laymen terms. imagine tiny hairs, in normal person these hairs stand upright in relation to surface, when you suffer tinnitus many of these hairs are laying more along the surface, like wind blown wheat.

and as t-dub pointed out there is really not much to be done, besides educate yourself and try to deal with it the best you can.

could be that, could be the way MJ makes different 'connections' in the brain with, neurons I believe they are called, creating a chemical reaction. I have experienced strange things myself. there have been times that I feel like I was about to pass out, very light headed and fuzzy feeling, and a following rush that goes through my whole body. not sure what that is about but its interesting feeling and scary at the same time.

Remember the very same flowers can effect us all differently. I personally like more of the sativa heady high better than the indica body high. I feel I relax more and I'm actually not to keen on the body high anymore, makes me nervous and panic-E at times.

Good thing you went to your doc to be safe. the human body is a very very complex machine.

best of luck to you :)

dizziness all the time or just when you stand up?
I often get a bit dizzy when standing up after sitting too long, being high usually makes this happen quicker, especially indica's, warm rooms also intensify it, and the comedown from indica causes it more then the effect itself
I probably just have a natural low bloodpressure(rns in the family), so you could have the same

Hey pcp,
I've suffered from tinnitus for many years- no dizzyness, just constant ringing- until
I started taking fish oil pills daily.
The fish oil was really for my stiff shoulder which was cured, and the tinnitus dissappeared
as well!
It works for me; it just might work for you.
I get the big kirkland bottle at Costco. :2c:

It was when laying down but intensified when walking around, it hasn't occurred again but the nonstop ringing is still ongoing.
