Maybe play a bit with I set to 0, so it's only a PD controller which has a bit faster reaction by nature than PID but it's a bit of tradeoff with precision...
thanks. i may have to try this, but first i will try to get the full PID to work. i have the parameters in a table, so tuning is simple - not using Arduino or C to do the programming, so simple algorithm changes are not so simple.
my PID is $45 ... $20 for the custom pcb and $25 for components.
