Yo @DJ Colonel Corn any word from Evolv on an updated version? Are you still in touch on the discord etc? Nothing excites me more than a v2 cricket as i'm just too picky for any devices presently on the market.
Hi @biohacker , there are currently no plans for a v2 or updates to the Cricket.Yo @DJ Colonel Corn any word from Evolv on an updated version? Are you still in touch on the discord etc? Nothing excites me more than a v2 cricket as i'm just too picky for any devices presently on the market.
Apparently Evolv says they didn't sell so well, and they are expensive to make.
So, they aren't excited to make a v2.
Yeah I definitely think some of them had leaky welds. My first tub would have a lot of buildup underneath pretty quickly. My second one that I'm using now collects buildup much more slowly and I can use a significantly lower temp to get the hits I want. I think I've only cleaned under the second tub once or twice, and there's never been very much down there like there was with the first one.The deal breaker for me was seeing not even what looked like reclaim, but actual oil under the tub.

Dang. There is still a little bit that gets down there and needs to be cleaned, but I think it's mostly from creeping up and over the corners a bit, rather than melting through the welds.Wow I didn't know this was a thing. I had a few of these Crickets and all were the same. This is exactly what I was referring to when I stated it felt like a bit of a beta run.
