Mods, this has been out for a while now. Shouldn't it be moved out of "upcoming"?

Got my elevape today and it's now charging. I downloaded the app to my laptop, but the instructions give you no clue how to connect the elevape to the app. HELP!

Does it need to be fully charged for the app to work? Also...instructions also say to "register" the app, but give you no clue how to do that.

EDIT: The member who sold me this unit told me it was a 2.0. I called the company and apparently it's a 1.0. That explains the inability to hook up to my Macbook. I've opened up a PAYPAL dispute, but I must say...this little box works like a champ. By far the best portable vape I've ever used.

Hey mate,
have you been taken care of or do you still need help with anything ESV?

If stirring is still associated with the 2.0, I can easily save my money.

I'm sold on this vape except for the need to stir. Can any 2.0 users comment on the need to stir? Has anyone tried not stirring and examining the results?

A shake or using it upside down is not a big issue for me if that's all it takes to get evenly browned ABV, and I'm in search of a portable convection vape that is good to go with no stirring required. From what I know the GH is the only vape that fits this.

Personally, I don't have a problem to stir - but I often forget about that and it's just fine. Recently I've been using the stir lid, so it is pretty easy and completely unmessy (as the lid stays closed). There are people that don't stir at all and getting good results. What I usually do is just knocking it in my hand once after some satisfying hits (pretty much like a shake but the impact should help moving sticky pieces from the screen).

It's funny you mention the GH in comparison with the ESV. When it comes to smoothness and coolness of the hits, the gap couldn't be bigger. In my opinion, the ESV provides to coolest on demand full convection dry hits on the market out of the box, while the GH is unbearably hot native even at low/mid temps. I can't use it dry - bad throat irritation (best case), hurting lips and tongue. Yes, I'm sensitive and I have to care about that but it's really two different worlds.

I compared to GH only in function, not necessarily results, but it's good to know the vapor quality is much improved here.

Cool, I just cancelled my Davinci IQ pre order and pulled the trigger on ESV 2.0, Davinci never responded to my emails and their phone system kicks you off when you're in line, I can only imagine what a warranty issue would be like. The only thing this lacks for my needs is the ability to have a session with a larger number of people on the go, but I have the Air for that.

Thanks for your insights, I read a lot of the ESV thread.

How is the battery life of the 2.0? I found with the original version, I get 3-4 bowls.

So given stirring is my only hold up with this vape, I did inquire if the 2.0 helps to minimize that at all, as well as if the stir lid is compatible with the new model. Here's the response from Joe:

"Yes, the 2.0 has a different airpath design than the 1.0 so it needs much less stirring (if any ) the stirring lid attachment is compatible for sure though ."

This is very promising for me as I want a maintenance free experience while I'm out. I ordered the stir lid regardless.

Just an FYI, they are having supply issues with their batteries, but expect to have some new units finished by the end of next week. I can't wait to get mine!

Hey guys so I just read about this vaporizer and it has really caught my eye. I am seriously thinking about getting it but I'm trying to figure out if it supports passhtrough charging or not. The lack of swappable batteries is a bit of a bummer but I figure if I can just keep it hooked up to a portable power bank whenever it's low it wouldn't be a huge deal.

The original used to but it was phased out via software update to save the battery.

Okay good to know thanks for the information. I'm probably going to be passing on this in that case but it still seems like a rock solid vape. Out of curiosity if you don't mind answering another question around how long does it take to fully charge from empty to full?

Can't speak on charging times..my older 1.0's take about 2-3 hours.
I will say that it's worth it without pass thru..pure convection on demand is pretty nice.
Check out the other esv thread before pulling the trigger.

You can use the 2.0 while it is charging. Seems like you gotta draw a little harder when it's plugged in but it works fine.

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED

Are you sure it's intended to be used that way? To be honest, I doubt it.
Either way, you will stress your batteries very much like that. Wouldn't recommend doing that. You should always love your internals ;)

EDIT: I must correct myself. Made a wrong assumption. Having talked to Joe he assured me that it's fine to do this with the 2.0 as it has a different power circuit. It would not harm the batteries.
If the battery is completely drained, the red LED will flash and it won't generate heat until it gets sufficient power for the selected temp. (Average power consumption is about 35W)

@Oogendoogan Thanks for the tip. Now we all can benefit from that!:)

Pure convection bu
d, it sure does!

Oh boy, there is so many choices It's hard to know what to get.

I've narrowed it down to these 4 I think. Milaana, Grasshopper, FW4, ESV V2.0 (any other instant on Convection worth considering)

You seem to have 3 of these mind telling me which ones your favorite and why. (though I think I can guess based on some of our other chats.)

Haze Square but it's not out yet. That's what I'm waiting for.

MistVape Touch too. But yeah i still prefer Milaana to em all, I did post some comparisons between Elevape and Milaana in the original thread if you wanna search? Don't wanna clutter this one especially since i don't even have the 2.0, this is definitely the most expensive of them, but it is something special imo

I can not recommend the Grasshopper, if you are sensitive in terms of hot vapor. Personally, I can only use the Grasshopper through a little Bubbler. Native the GHs vapor is unbearable for me. The GH is very convenient (heat-up time, form factor) and if you are not heat sensitive it might be a good choice.

I am very curious about the ESV 2.0 myself at the moment, but want to take a little break from buying new Vapes. This year the VAS was quite heavy on my wallet. :D

Milaana and FW4 seem like really awesome vapes, and I would probably go with Milaana or the upcoming Zion based on what I've read, as these seem to pack desktop model capability in a portable unit, but I went with the ESV 2.0 due to stealth. My main use outside of the home is during my lunch breaks, walking around the downtown of a large city, where stealth is key and having a session is not ideal. I also like to pass a vape around for a session with friends, something the ESV 2.0 is not suited for, and I have the Air for that.

My ESV 2.0 should be shipping in the next few days and I'll post a full review once I spend some time with it.

Would this work well for a group session?

Also, is there a way to check the battery life on the unit?

Is it easy to load and unload?

Ok, first you asked before if the ESV was hitting hard...imo it's more a flavor connoisseur unit than a cloud maker ( cause if look for thick clouds it could be easy to be on the edge of combustion...at least with the previous version I own).
Since the very small load it is not very designed for group session and remenber it's not a session vape (even if you can use like one).
No way to know the battery level without plug it on the app (on my previous version also).

It is quite easy to load and unload but while new the lid can be difficult to take off...until it looses a bit!
