Editing Posts

Is there a best practice for editing posts? I noticed many people will add an Edit: Reason why. I do that when there's an additional thought to my post. However I don't when I'm just fixing grammar and spelling.

I hope the mods don't have to look at some 'edited posts report' every day. If so, I apologize for my contributions. For some reason, my posts look perfect until submitted. Then I see the glaring errors.

For the most part you only have 6 hours to make an edit. I'll usually make corrections silently but I'll add an "Edit:" if I'm adding new content to the last post (ie to avoid a double-post). I think a lot of people do it the same way.

No worries... we don't get a report when you edit. No apologies needed.

However, we can see the history of what's been done if we check the post. So there's no 'getting away with anything.

i think bb tags with basic colour should work

I use the forth button(?) from the left above where you post on the "edit signature" or just posting comments like where it gives you options for formatting your posts and such.

From the left you have B(bold) I (italic) U (underline) then an A for text color.

If you hover over the toolbar icons, they tell you what they do. And @RUDE BOY is correct; the fourth one from the left will give you font color options.

So, if I "like" a post, and then immediately "unlike" it (because I liked it in error), does the poster get the message that I liked them and then another that I unliked them?

I certainly don't want to offend anyone... Maybe I should leave accidental likes...

OK, cool. I see your quote, but I don't see any likes or unlikes. Good, that is what I hoped.

So, they may see a like and then see it disappear if they are watching when it happens.
