Edge damage

So I damaged the edge of the neck of my Ehle glass. From the friction with the diffuser, can I inhale glass particles? (click img for high res)

That's a shitter. I have the same piece. At a guess, I would say you are fine as long as no more flakes appear. You could also sand it down to remove any sharp edges.
Just keep am eye on it but I reckon you are good to go.....

Flame polish it . Do you have a big/Dabber torch ? BI suggest trying to find bs-600 model locally if you need one.

If you need tips on how to do it , you can PM me for details,but most important is to move the flame until it is all warmed up ,to avoid breackage, and then focus on the chips .
