Olympus Mons
Probation Officer
Momma Mia! Welcome to the Cannabis Confection Kitchens of Olympus Mons! Let's cut the bullshit and get right to it, shall we? Here's how I make my edibles, cheap, fast and easy, and let's start with what you will need:
1 gram hash oil (use an indica or a high CBD oil for a heavier body load).
2 tablespoons butter.
1 package instant cocoa mix (come to Olympus Mons, my dear Swiss Miss!).
A small non-stick pot or pan, smaller the better.
First, if you have a gram of oil in a glass vial, remove the plastic cap and place the vial right in your small nonstick pot or pan, up-side-down, and toss in 2 tablespoons butter, give or take. Heat this on LOW, VERY LOW - the butter should melt and the hash oil will start to mix with it. The butter and oil mix should BARELY bubble. You just want to heat it enough to mix the oil and the butter, and to convert the THC into an edible form. Not sure about what happens chemically, but I think we are converting THC acids into, uh, I dunno, something that gets you high when you eat it. Okay, so mix this around on low heat for about 20 minutes. Don't forget to take out the glass vial!
Now stir in some instant cocoa mix. Really, how much butter and cocoa mix you use is up to you, but for me, what works best is about a tablespoon and a half of butter and a half a package of cocoa mix. Mix this real good and stick the whole pan in the freezer for about 15 minutes, or until frozen, and you'll know what to do after that.
What does it taste like? Well, like 90% of all potent cannabis edibles, it tastes like shit. I prefer to make edibles as potent as possible so I have to eat as little possible. But you still need a little something like butter to help your gut absorb it and a little heat to make eating it psychoactive.
Dosage? Hahaha, oh no, you are all on your own here. Once you freeze it, you can mold it like ice cream and cut it up into doses. And you can pretty much just swallow little bits at a time without chewing if the taste is too gross, but the instant cocoa makes it palatable, somewhat.
Edibles are expensive, but I can occasionally find some good oils for $15/gram. Eating half a gram in this candy form will make any Star Trek movie you watch feel like the first time you watched it!
