It is the Beast.
15 to 20 second heat up from cold, 12 to 15 second reheat.

@antispleen and @paytonpenn have alphas.
Now offering a few betas at $100, http://mistvaporizer.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=10&products_id=112

This has a Kanthal element that wraps around the vc. I have Arctic Fox profiles that run 50 watts for 2 second then 45 watts for a total of 15 seconds on auto fire.

15 sec from cold gives amazing flavor then huge clouds with 15 sec reheat

Nice idea but it's a BIG Beast indeed!

Curious to read alpha testers feedback cause since all this induction heaters heat the Vapcap faster... in 8s with my JarHead from a cold start, subsequents hits are faster since the VapCap is already hot. Although it's nice to get something you can pair with a mod... why not an induction atty (maybe too hungry in power for a mod...idk)?

Did I remenber Pipes created something similar under the DIY section...?

I don't know about earlier efforts at this, I'm notoriously bad at following stuff.
Big, well it is 1.25" in diameter and 1.63" high. Not huge but big, most of the volume is insulating space. The element gets really hot based on color/temp it is around 1500 F or more. A butane flame can go to > 2000F.
As for the time remember this is early. Currently i am running 46 watts and i do 13 second cycles. First hit is just flavor but then the vapor flows like crazy.
I have 30 A batteries on order. With them i can go to higher watts and shorter times

@oddjobbold how long does a torch take? I was getting about 12 sec with a torch.
I can't hear the click because of my hearing deficit. Sometimes i feel it.
I think with a multi battery mod we will see the time come down a little
I got the 30 A battery which will allow higher watts. I'll test it today

This video isn't that informative sorry, I will be uploading more later.

I have been using this at 20 watts and find heatup for click is around 25 seconds, it would however need maybe 8 more seconds for a decent first hit.

Around 60 watts heatup for click is around 10 seconds but again needs a bit more time and has a smaller threshold for when it's going to be overcooked.

45 watts is pretty reasonable and has a 15-18 second until click.

At lower watts you could inhale during the heating process before click and not combust resulting in some pretty big low temp clouds. Higher watts you can allow the unit to start cooldown quicker. So at 60 watts I'd probably heat it for 10 seconds then let it cooldown for 5 seconds.

I tested the 30A battery a sony murata, 2800 mah I think.
It lasted for at least 15 heating cycles, I tested four beast builds and ran at least 4 cycles or 15 sec with each.
The high amps really help to power the Beast.
Did some low watt testing and 35 watts for 15 seconds gives some fine vapor (you need a full cycle to heat soak the vc). @Shit Snacks you would like this, no carb, smooth vapor, huge clouds.
Straw brown abv, the Beast is kicking it.
There are 2 alphas and 5 betas out there and so far the feedback is great. If everyone else is happy I'll announce a pre order for about 25 units.

I've seen the beast on Instagram, looks fantastic! (That Padauk )

You are correct I would like this, not having to use a torch to heat, has anyone tested how it works with the OG glass vapcap?

maybe with something like this, I would have a much more enjoyable experience with the titanium tips (I also haven't tried versions from the last two years so who knows lol)

So I've had an alpha version for a couple of weeks now, and I just received a beta version today. I've tried on all the mods I have and they all work well with the beast. I've settled on the vtc dual, with the fj firmware. I'm still experimenting and whatnot, but currently doing a 2 second pre heat at 50 watts, then down to 45 watts. I have a 15 second cruise timer on. With one 15 second cruise I am getting very flavorful vapor with no click.a few seconds into the second cycle I get a click. At that point I either remove and enjoy, or power off the mod and hit it like a session vape till the bowl is done pretty much. Very much still getting to know this beast, but I haven't used a torch since I got the alpha version.

So I've moved my timer up to 25 seconds. But a really cool thing I've been messing with is leaving the vapcap in the beast after the click. The residual heat fends off the cool down click for like 2 minutes, allowing for many more hits than a normal vapcap heat cycle. I've been getting two extended cycles per bowl using this method. Just keeping the cap in and ripping like an ecig

I will do a video when I can but here are my AF Beast Settings,
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1T_0GFMB4ljf8z3ttc1fEeKv7VJxH8QqI

There are 4 settings with curves (AUTO LO/HI, FAST LO/VERY LO), curves are limited to 15 seconds so most of these curves intended to provide power in the beginning then settle to something reasonable if unintentionally left for the full cruise.

AUTO LO, is intended to run high watts for a short period to kick it off then settle to low wattage allowing safe inhales while heating. It has around 30 seconds to click and I just reduced my profile to a 25-second cutoff; if you inhale during the heat up you may get the click towards the end or a little bit after. It has a 5 second preheat delay so you can immediately repress for more continued power or wait and get a boost.

AUTO HI, double the wattage this setting should always provoke a click within 25 seconds. It starts hot for about 10 seconds then has about 5 seconds of a staggering decrease of wattage until it's at a coasting low. This setting has a preheat of 15 seconds so if you didn't get click quick enough, repress and you should get the click without spiking the temp too rapidly. These AUTO settings are intended to provide an easy experience without requiring too much attention.

FAST LO, starts off high wattage then spikes down to cool. Also, a high wattage setting this should provide a click quicker than the other settings but is a bit more dangerous since you'll have more time with autofire left for combustion. It does drop rather low to help compensate for the time remaining. Preheat delay is 20 seconds to promote cooling, this mode can definitely get your device hot running higher watts for about 7 seconds. This is essentially AUTO HI w/cooldown.

VERY LO, is basically AUTO LO w/cooldown. Starts around the same wattage but settles to an even cooler temp for less combustion risk.

All these settings are subject to change I'm still using an alpha beast build and will probably find better timings with more bowls.

All around with a single battery on the Beast using my VTwo Mini I'm seeing over 600 seconds of heating and over 30 heat cycles with varied lengths, easily over 12 bowls. I still need to do a test with full to pretty much dead.

Also 2 clicks for auto fire, 3 clicks for profiles, 4 clicks to reset counter. nothing else should be needed but you can see on NFE Toolbox.

Found a new trick for the Beast. By inserting a test tube into the Beast you can do mini dabs,
Using a half a grain of brown rice size piece of shatter I was able to get good vapor in under 15 seconds.
This is a mini rig and perfect for the portable small dab.
I ordered some quartz tubes for this.
@Plutonic 10 mm od for the Beast
I can sell quartz tubes for $10 each.

The Vaponic (or a cheaponic) might mate really nicely with this too. @mistvaporizer, can the inner diameter of The Beast accommodate a Vaponic @ 12mm OD?

Thanks @mistvaporizer! So close and yet so far! Any way you'd be willing to think about making a slightly wider version that'll accommodate a 12mm Vaponic? I think the combination of this and a Vaponic would be a real winner: an all glass air (not just vapor) path, portable, with temperature control. Might even be worth talking to the Vaponic people, since I'm not sure there's even a place to get one on our side of the drink.

@mistvaporizer I strongly suggest that you fit the Beast with a heatsink from the factory.

As hot as the Beast gets I would be concerned by the proximity to the mod.

You are the inventor/innovator I am just trying to avoid problems.

From my experience, Beast doesn't really get too hot compared to other atomizers like the Stempod. This may because of the wooden deck and body versus metal ones in normal atomizers. Also, it doesn't need to run at high watts as long and is given time to cool between heatups. I'd have to go for over 8 clicks in a row before it is past warm and I still don't get too hot issues as my Stempod does.

Sweet
This actually works about 40 seconds at 37.5 watts
I think stepped heating would work also, start at 40 then drop to 32 maybe.
The abv is too dark.
That's the first try though

Almost combusted. I tried to leave the vaponic in all the time. Showing promise
