I've not seen borscolite on Etsy. Only soda/lime glass. Does it matter?

It depends on how important peace of mind is to you and exactly what kind of setups you're going to be using.

Inside your glass stem, you're "probably" not going to have to worry about how they stand up to the temperatures of the vapor and air going through the stem.

I prefer to KNOW that no matter what setup I use, no matter what stem, and no matter what I throw at them, they WILL stand up!
