Could someone comment on harshness- especially compared to the Zion.

Only @HD Springer has used both, but as far as harshness its the same as Zion really. Same stems and heater, only thing is the temp here is unregulated manual, and can get to liks 0-1000 degrees in seconds or some such stat, so even trickier to tame than the single battery unit (though that one will be ideal with short stems that could be more harsh, its 18mm so wide open and can use whatever you like)

It's a warm vapor. For sure. But it's not any worse than my ascent or my ff when they are half way into the bowls. The Zion gets a lot warmer as far as stem and body. The vapor itself is about equal to TOD. The deal with TOD is you are on the power for a short time. The vapor will get hot and when you push her for big hits the vapor will start to get harsh. But it's up to the user. You can run a full stem without running her harsh. Or if you have no self control (like myself) you will push her hot and harsh and pull the biggest rips of your life. And get the best results from your medicines. Of course these are all IMO. @IAmKrazy2 has had the TOD for a few weeks now I'm sure he is getting to know her better than all of us.

I have ordered 2 of the 3 RBT products and am wondering about getting this one. For those who ordered more than 1, did you have to pay shipping separately for each one?
Also, it is not supposed to be good for newbies. I am not a newbie technically, but I don't even understand the language you all are using.

I'm not sure they will be released at the same time. The Zion will be the first out I believe. Then the beta single and beta double.

Unregulated manual means there is no chip to regulate, or hold steady, the current delivered to the heater like the Zion has. This unit is simply raw power right from the batterys to the heater, nearly doubling the voltage the heater sees vs the zion. This is why it can hit so big so fast.

Well, honestly mag, if you already ordered the other two I'd hold if I were you. For me personally I've been more focused on the single batt since i already have a Zion. As a tester I will try this one two and it will be crazy, but I feel like I'm already getting enough power. I think you may not feel like your missing something with those two on hand, but you should also have your Zion well before the single battery too, and can judge better

I think we weren't clear enough: the Zion *IS ALREADY* a power monster. It hits as hard as a desktop. I think it's more than enough for most people.
More power is not always better but unfortunately people fall into that trap easily. My opinion without even having tested it, is that this model is aimed at those with iron lungs. Unless you are really into giant water tools and lung busting rips, you won't ever need that much power.
The Zion is already a beast that you need to tame down, as it's so easy to overdo it and end up coughing because you took too much vapor at once. I'm not saying this to discourage people from ordering this model, but you all need to be aware of that aspect IMO. This thing is gonna be violent! A really wild one!

Yes Zion can go full power, it just has the dial so taming it for individual users is very easy, and works well for temp stepping too. Less manual and less stealthy, but more capable overall, and Zion is still quite a beast...

Right, I think that's really the difference. More power and no governor. For those who want to be fully in charge without restriction. Not for everyone, but something that some have probably been waiting for.
I like BIG hits, and I have no problem getting them from Zion. I also like that it has some regulation to help keep me from going over the line. That has been removed for TOD. You are in complete control of RBTs unique heater tech. Better keep your helmet on...

I think people will realize the ease of use with the TOD. There is absolutely no wait time for heat. POW!! It's there. That was the SOLE purpose of this sipper killer. That does not mean that you can't lay off the trigger/button and take little tiny short pulls. It's possible. Just not what it's made for. And you have to work harder to get the smaller hits then you do big full hits. You truly have the full range and power that the device has to offer. It's up to the user to decide for himself or herself how much they choose to use at that time.

Shot the TOD video today. My buddy is going to edit it and send it to me. One load, three hits, and before and after pics of material.
Edit. He also took a close up of me packing a second load, milking the tube, and then knocking the load out (there was two more off camera hits before it was knocked out.)
Not sure how he will edit it together but we will find out.
Edit again. Attempt to add first ever video
It looks like my camera man who edited may have shown the same hit in the closeup multiple times. Either way it was a three hit load.
