So the Beta Team has been kicking around some killer ideas and concepts and a few are just killer. Maybe we can draw them to share?
Fair enough... I will frame it up. Given that there are multiple batteries and multiple length batteries of the same cross-section and multiple voltage batteries in the 18650 package that the voltage versatility is darn right silly. This gives you the ability to explore the many personalities of the Zion heater technology. I take little credit for the details (team please share) of how this is an insanely cool thing... Hats off to the Team. Hmmm, wonder what makes them so amazingly creative?Dont be a tease!

why not go 2s lipo pack or 3s 12.6v with huge mah?
This is crazy way above my head and I love it. I do know how to load and rip. Storing properly still evades me. But I've since changed my ways. These are great ideas. Flipping a switch to change configurations is boss. Damn these Saturday/Sunday morning gatherings are pretty awesome. I have had a blast with them.
So that's a no on the LiCoO2's, then?
I was just joking about the "don't blow yourselves up" comment from @cybrguy, dunno what the max voltage is on those.I'm not aware of one that can sustain more than 10A. Do you have a link?
Your question about tuning the heater is a good one. It might not be possible to have a heater that can handle the entire range I described, but only @RastaBuddhaTao can answer that.

Sorry Dude, completely over my head... Whoosh
what voltage will the heater be tuned for? Is it possible to tune it in a way that several voltage settings will work acceptably?
