see whether or not you think this gets the *coverage it deserves in the popular media... it was announced someplace else more sensationalisticly...the other website suggested it would get buried because it's so cheap, but that it's an order of magnitude towards curing cancer by prophalaxis i guess...

A baby aspirin a day for more than five years...they say it's the duration...lowers risk of Cancer 20%

Baby Aspirin Linked to Reduced Cancer Deaths
from the Los Angeles Times (Registration Required)
A daily dose of baby aspirin may reduce mortality from a range of common cancers by an average of 21%, with the reduction persisting for at least 20 years, British researchers reported Monday.
Deadly cases of stomach, colorectal and esophageal cancers all declined among people who took low-dose aspirin for 10 to 20 years, according to a study published online in the journal Lancet. The chewable tablets also were linked to a reduced risk of death from adenocarcinoma and from lung cancer in nonsmokers.
The results were based on an analysis of more than 10,000 people who participated in seven clinical trials designed to test whether baby aspirin could reduce the risk of heart disease
i'm watching Sicko - don't know why i didn't watch it before...it's rfugin good movie, especially when they get to France.
My grandfather was up in Canada last year, he's 94, and he had to call an ambulance for his girlfriend...they rang up a bill of US$2400, he said would have been US$18,000 here (they're covered whereever they go, they're in the top whatever% who can afford to be...anyway, he said he was talking to the guy in back of the ambulance and his aunt had been on a waiting list for months for an operation and when things started looking bad they flew her and a couple of family members to Seatle, paid for the extra bed or whatever for the family member, covered it.
i think it comes down to this...the countries where people can vote all decided to set it where we've already put firemen, libraries and schools. We've been brainwashed into thinking of things a different way...i'm just noticing.
