Here we go! Glass Hookah V 2.0 (Possibly the first incycler hookah / scientific glass with a removable stand)
Let me know what you think? This is a work in process and will be a purchase in a couple months ( maybe less
)
I am thinking about doing all of the internal plumbing including the downstem in slime. I may even do the stand in slime if I can afford it… The chamber will be clear. Suggestions are welcome here!!!!
Thanks
@Frederick McGuire and
@syrupy for your input. I added a lot of reinforcement and extra support. I also decided to go with a quad incycler to get that good old negative pressure so it functions properly
I am thinking for size I should do about 3 feet tall and about 2 feet wide (I want it to be near impossible to tip over)
For the actual chamber I will do 5-7mm thick. For the stand, base, and top plate I will do 9mm thick
1) Hookah Bowl / Vape
2) 18.8mm Female Joint (I will use an 18.8mm male to male adapter for a hookah bowl, but I want the female joint so it is compatible with my Solo, Lotus, and future EVO)
3) Ash Tray - It will rest on top of the Ice Bowl (#4)
4) Ice bowl
5) Ice bowl supports (4 total - one every 90* around the 360* ice bowl)
6) Ice
7) 18.8mm non narrowing female joint for downstem support
*A little note about this idea. #7 and #10 will be 18.8mm female joints, but they will not narrow so they will have the same diameter throughout the joint. The downstem will just go all the way through these and they are here to help stabilize the downstem. It will have to be air tight when the downstem is in place.
8) 18.8mm female joint purge value (to fit a glass stopper) or extra mouthpiece / hose port
9) 18.8mm female joint mouthpiece / hose port
10) 18.8mm non narrowing female joint for downstem support. It will have to be air tight when the downstem is in place.
11) Incycler cups with holes (4 total) - the other two are directly behind the two seen in the pic
12) To the left of #12 is the cup's drain tube (4 total). To the right of #12 is an 18.8mm female joint that does narrow like normal. The end of the downstem will be a normal 18.8mm male joint and it will fit right in here for extra support.
13) Gridded upline perc (like on my double recycler) This perc will span the width of the chamber and will be welded to the side walls of the chamber. It will also have 2 supports under the perc (#17). The center of the perc will have the 18.8mm female joint (that is to the right of #12)
14) Vertical support bar for the female joint (that is to the right of #12)
15) Bottom cup for chamber support. This will be like the base on a rig. It will be a giant square plate of 9mm thick glass that the 4 legs of the stand are mounted to. The center of the square will have the cup that the chamber fits in perfectly.
16) The 4 leg stand that is mounted on the square plate of glass (triangle supports will be added to the corners of the tops and bottoms of the legs if needed). This will probably be 9mm thick too. The top of the stand will also be a giant square plate of 9mm thick glass with a hole in the center that the chamber fits into (#3 in the second pic)
1) These are the open tops of the 4 cups
2) The center 18.8mm non narrowing female joint that the downstem runs through (#10 in above pic)
3) The hole in the center of the top plate of the stand that the chamber fits into
4) The bottom plate of the stand. It will be slightly large than the top plate so the legs can be and a slight angle instead of just straight up and down.
