I don't know how much overlap there is between the stoner community and the fitness community, but for those who don't mind putting on weight as long as it's muscle, the munchies might be used to great advantage. Here's what I'd be doing just about every time I finish exhausting myself on the weights, if not for those pesky drug tests:
1. Immediately drink my post-workout protein shake.
2. Vaporize about half a bowl with my VG.
3. Sip water frequently, go about my business, and wait for the normal, colossal, post-workout hunger to set in about an hour later, nicely amplified by the herb.
I know the OP specifically asked for a cure for the munchies, but I thought I'd suggest a way to exploit them instead of fighting them.
By the way, does anyone else here eat every two or three hours, as most modern personal trainers seem to recommend? I find that adhering to this practice means it's as likely as not the munchies will coincide with a scheduled meal, which solves the problem. I do get junk-food cravings when I'm high, but I find I can usually handle them the same way I handle them sober: I tell myself that if I still want the pizza or ice cream after I've eaten my grilled chicken breast with rice and vegetables, I'll go for it. Almost always, I decide I don't want the bad stuff.
IMO, there's absolutely no reason the herb and fitness can't be compatible. They mesh rather well, actually.
