Does anyone else get mold in their vaporbong?

Well I can't say I know its mold for sure, but I think it is. I hit my DBV through my beaker bottom bong and even with a few screens tiny bud particles get through and even though i keep this thing really clean they will stick to the edges and turn white. So after a few days of use, even though I change the water at least once a day, the bong will have lots of white spots above where the waterline would be. They are hard to get off and I figured they are just bud particles that stuck and had their color bleached out into the water over the day. But when I leave water in the bong overnight or over a day it does have a moldy smell. And my friend commented and said "Is there mold in your bong?" Does anyone else get this problem or am I doing something wrong?

I think it is more reclaim and water stone (i am not sure.. how is it in english .. sry,but it is calcium spots or smth) . Try using destilled water(boiled works too but must not be from tap.) + Never leave water in you bong.. after you've done using it..
+ do a quick wash at the end of the day :).
Also forgot to add that i've seen many guys saliva fall into their tubes.. and they leave the water for weeks there (not to mention they do not vape) .. Well that is a recipe for Pandora's bong.. :) .

I get some whitey residues aswell in my herbo sphere, above water level. The funny thing is that I change the water every single bowl, rinsing the sphere with hot tap water, that residues go away. Every new bowl with cold tap water, leaves that residue inside my glass, I really dunno what could that be, in fact I remember that this summer I never had such residue...maybe it's the new weed, maybe something changed in the water......didn't figure it out yet.

I agree with A.V. I think the buildup on the glass is actually reclaim! The guys who use a lot of bho would call the build up in the part of the bong that holds water "wet reclaim". It's worth saving and using if your able to gather enough of it together.

I have a friend with a mini beaker and depending on which downstem is used (6 slit with an open end works best) he can keep the claim from sticking to the glass. I think it has to do with how the bubbles flow around the downstem. Anyways, I have seen him pull a "Worm" of 0.8g of reclaim out of the bong! Just had to swishEd it around and pour the worm out the joint! He putit on a dish and let the water evaporate. Then just start dabbin!

I have heard that people use iso to reclaim the stuff that is stuck to the glass. After, Just let the iso evaporate and u will end up with some stuff you should be ableto dab.

The best way to prevent stains of any kind on your glass is to always use distiller water, use grunge off to soak, iso and salt for tough stains, oxiclean for any build up, clr/vinegar for hard water stains. Always do a finishing rinse with distiller water. Finally use a shopvac of air compressor to blow out any residual water drops. Wipe clean with a cloth.

Yea its def reclaim. I change my water maybe twice a month at most, and havent cleaned my bubbler since i started using it. There is a build up of reclaim similar to the reclaim in the oil bong, just not nearly as thick.

I would say its mineral deposits from the water too(Ca(white), Mg(white), Fe(although this one would be rusty red)..), try using distilled water from now on and that should help!

and on the t opic of reclaim, that shit is wonderful! save it! i collect it when i wash my glass in iso. then after the iso is brown like syrup, filter it, and evap! lovely oil!

If u wana slow down the ur bong getting dirty (of any kind) you can put a few drops of lemon/lime juice and i will keep ur bong sparkling for longer

lol thanks me and a friend of mine found that out when we we were testing different things to put in bong water. it can't be juice like u would drink from a glass or anything like that, its the kind u cook with. i think it works because of the acidity of it but i could be wrong lol

For sure.
If you aren't using distilled water, buildup is definitely a combination of minerals AND vapor resin.

Abysmal is also very correct that its very common, especially when taking a large vapor-bong rip, to drip saliva into the tube.
Your mouth is one of the most bacteria infested parts of your body because you're constantly sticking foreign objects in there, so letting it sit with saliva over time could definitely mold.

I wonder what lime does exactly
Lime juice is acidic, and acids remove mineral buildup. When there's scale buildup so bad that it won't come out with an iso wash, thats when you do a vinegar wash (which is used because its even more acidic)
