Do small water attachments / hydratubes do much?

Do the smaller water attachments actually make that much of a difference for vaping? I've been a happy user of the Mighty since last May but increasingly feel discomfort when vaping at the higher temps. Should I just get a normal, bong-sized water piece or will a micro-bubbler like one of these:

... do the trick? I don't want to waste money on a micro bubbler if I'm just going to have to end up buying a larger piece to get satisfaction.

I think you will be happier with a water piece. Micros help keep a bit of heat off but not enough to use one as my daily driver.
Edit* I use concentrates so my opinion maybe different from some one who vapes mostly flowers.

I think the micro bubblers are too small and are useless, the pnwt size is good for portability and helps, but a D020 or bigger is much better. For very little water I'm impressed with my pnwt knockoff.

Edit to add: I would not call what you posted a micro bubbler because there is a 510 style that's smaller and that's what I was referring to above.

I have all 3 versions of bubblers mentioned in this thread~I have a hydrotube (knockoff version), micro-bubbler, and a nectar collector kit very similar to the one linked in the previous post.

The bubbler in the nectar collector kit will hold the most water and is the best for cooling/water treatment effect IMO. You can lay it on its side and it will not leak/spill. You can hit it on an angle, even almost completely horizontal and it will still bubble.

The hydrotube works pretty well as for cooling/water treatment but they leak easy or at least my 4 knockoffs do and they don't hold that much water really. The hydrotubes are great but not really because you have to be pretty vertical to use them. I have 4 and they sit and wait. Maybe they will get some use when I get my Zion.

The micro-bubbler http://www.shopxhale.com/collections/new-products/products/11463 does not hold much water and the water tends to evaporates after long sessions. I toted the micro-bubbler around with me for a couple weeks but the fun wore off and I realized it wasn't doing all that much. I'm going to try out the e-cig pen ones that have recently come up in the Grasshopper thread, however I'm expecting it to be a waste of $5.

IMO, if you want something to play around with that you don't mind forgetting about then get one of the above. If you want something to use regularly, then get a real glass piece. I haven't tried a D020 yet but I plan to get one of them or a FC-187 or one of the many recommended table top bubbler pieces one these days. Until then I have a glass beaker bong and that gets used every night that I choose not to use the Daisy. Daisy needs no water!

I also have the same vape / piece as in the op, but it didn't last long, and doesn't compare to the Matrix

It is also about £40

Thanks a bunch! That's the kind of detailed info I'm looking for. I think what I need to do is fashion a DIY vapor bong from a plastic bottle and some aquarium tubing. This will give me some idea whether mating a water piece to my Mighty is even worth the hassle.

I can confirm the micro-bubs are fairly pointless, with all the issues listed above, I got myself a honeycomb perc glass bong to replace it and haven't looked back. Obviously a perc isn't as portable as a micro-bubbler :)

The Daisy vaporizer provides one of the coolest temperature and smoothest hits due to its thick huge glass mouthpiece. When using water with the Daisy it is almost impossible to tell when your closing in on combustion because it is already so smooth without.

I dont think daisys smoothness is attributed to the fact the mouthpiece is thick. I thinks its more to do with using a torch lighter .. one of the only byproducts of a torch is h20. When you finish your session the mouthpiece is misted up from the torch .. I think this hydrates and moistens the vapour making it smoother. Much like a waterpipe would.

They are just disposable drip tips. You can find them on e-bay or amazon. When I needed a few I had to buy a pack of 100. I still have a shit load left over. PM me and I'll send you a few

VAPEHUNTER - thanks. So the "drip tip" squeezes onto the Mighty stem, and then you stick it into the microbubbler and it forms a seal? The micro-bubbler that Scrutator showed is called the Nibbler-X but I suppose this combo would work with other micro bubblers made for vape pens? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

My mum loves her solo water stem, but only vapes once or twice a week.

So I would say it would not be good for frequent use.

Yes, you are correct. Place the "drip tip cover" over the mouthpiece and it should work with a bubbler

That is a silicone drip tip from w9's old essential oil carts. I have a bunch left never from the early oil daze. You can buy them online from ecig companies. I don't have a link. They fit nicely on the Mighty stem.

Regardless, some of us don't use the smaller hydra tubes for filtration. I for one use my smaller (pinnacle size) HT with my EVO when I run low on herb. The bigger can is a bit much as a lung assist so each pull has cover more square footage meaning each drag or pull has to be considerably larger to fill the piece. Bigger drag? Bigger cook off lol!

I still have trouble relating to some of the micro pieces but with the HT's I guess I kinda get it.
