I tried to make one with a 40mm thermometer tube in a couple of different carbed pass through adapters and some heater carts from my collection but it wasn't very good. I think the elements I used were underpowered and the centre of the heat was in the wrong place for a GS

After some digging, I think this piece could be like the old one Popular glass used to sell. I asked the seller for measurements, let's see what they tell me.

The closest I came to an outer body is the J-021406 option of the object found here, but I have to contact the seller for the exact measurements,

Got word from the shop, the piece is 138mm long, would that be right for the purpose?

This listing is a bit confusing, the description doesn't give much information either

138mm sounds about the right size for a 24/29 thermometer tube
It all depends on the location of the side arm and the length of the pinched section tho really

I think the only thing left to do is try the piece. Total cost, glass inner + outer body, is about 18 euros, so not too pricey.
