My V2.5 arrived yesterday and I tried it with some nice amber shatter.

Long story short, this is by far the best wax atomizer I have ever used! The flavor is amazing and the oil never gets burned. I am using it at 10w and pulsing the button after an initial warm-up.

I also really love the deep bowl with the ceramic donut right at the bottom. This is so much better than the shallow W9 KISS Gr 2 carts I had been using before, which tend to burn the oil and also splatter it all over the mouthpiece rather than putting it in your lungs!

Great job Matt! This will be my go-to setup until my errlectric arrives.

I've been using the black ceramic wick from my W9 ceramic cart dropped into this deeper bowl of the DT v2.5 and can report quality clouds, flavor and larger, longer lasting loads. This should definitely be considered for V3.
p.s. Air flow is much improved:tup:

I also have that black ceramic wick but haven't bothered trying to use it since I'm already so happy with the results of the stock 2.5 donut. But I'm always happy to see what's possible so my question is do you load ur goods then put the ceramic wick on top? Or do you always just leave the wick in all the way at the bottom and load ur goods on top?

I've had the v2.5 donut for about a week now and wanted to share my findings so far.

Battery:
I reached out by email and Matt recommended I pair the donut with a Joyetech eVic-VT which I was able to find on ebay easily enough.

The temperature mod technology is an amazing step up from pulsing a fixed voltage or wattage, and I love how it backs off automatically before getting a burnt taste.
As some have mentioned above, the temperature is determined by the drop in the resistance of the atomizer as the ceramic heats up.
This does indeed work well but I highly suspect that the temperature displayed is not the true temperature as the readout is calibrated for nickel wire.
It would be a very interesting project to characterize the temperature vs resistance change of the ceramic itself, theoretically VT batteries whose software can be updated could add ceramics as a separate mode.

The battery itself is a solid performer but I'm still looking for a temperature mod in a cylinder style which would be flush with the ceramic head.
It also makes a faint humming sound while not in use and is a bit bulky (I don't need weeks of battery life).

I will be trying my 510 threaded ThermoVape Evolution battery soon (they look very sharp together) but have held off because I'm worried about cracking the donut from over-voltage as it's purely mechanical.

Atomizer:
I'm pretty picky about my vapes, preferring all stainless steel and glass for juices but this ceramic's fantastic handling of solid concentrates won me over immediately.

I love the cleanliness, solid feel and size of the ceramic head.
The airflow and clarity of flavor are by far the best I've ever seen in a portable oil vape.
The natural flavors of high quality concentrates come through bright and clear with no added tastes, possibly even better than a traditional nail due to the super low temps.

Waxes/shatters are easy to drop in but the deep bowl has made loading stickier oils much more difficult.
The oil gets stuck to the upper walls and isn't close enough to the element to melt and slide down, eventually resulting in a situation similar to GoGlass's.

I will be getting the short wall version that Matt mentioned in his video as soon as he will agree to send me one, and I will be purchasing the v3 (and inevitably the v4 and v5) when they become available too.

Although it's near perfect as it is, there is a lot of room for creativity in future version of the crucible.

Possible ideas could include placing the element underneath the crucible for indirect heating or a ceramic knob in the bowl (or wall or cap) that can be used to scrape the oil off a dabber.

Divinetribe has completely surpassed my expectations on the quality of these atomizers, if you are on the fence jump in and grab one immediately.

I think both portable and wired e-nails will need their own forum sections soon as they are clearly the future.

Best of luck Matt, you're doing a great job!

ps. The 5/16" ID tubing for my Arizer ExtremeQ's whip fits snugly over the mouthpiece which can be fun when lifting the battery becomes more arduous near the end of a session.

For those who have used both, how would you compare the v2.5 donut to the Cera?
I was just thinking that..... as I held onto my clean, solid, ceramic Cera. Hmm, Matt will get my money soon so I can try this 2.5!

Got my 2.5 last week and she works great. I have pre-ordered an istick 40w tc. When it arrives I will let you know how it works. If the Istick works it will be a great option as you can get them for $30. My concern with it is in temp control mode it fires at 40w and only 40w which will hit that temp limit very quickly...I hope the istick is accurate.

I have tested it on the evic and the 2.5 works great, I have since stopped using it because my evic is having problems of jumping out of temp. control mode and going in regular power mode. This is a software issue with some evics and should be fixed soon.

The invader mini at least in the ecig community has proven to be a great device and is extremely rugged. Just make sure you use high drain 18650 batteries. I see Matt will include a sony vtc4 which are great batteries but they are counterfeited often so if you buy any extras make sure they are a reputable vendor(not ebay or amazon). For charging buy an xtar, nitecore or efest 18650 charger.

Batteries I recommend:
samsung 25r
sony Vtc4 (be careful, faked often)
Lg HE2 or HE4

Vendors I recommend:
Kidneypuncher.com
Illumn.com
www.orbtronic.com

The IPV4 does not work with these in temp control. cracked the donut...my own fault for experimenting. I think the IPV4 pushes out higher watts then what you have it set to when you first fire it.

thanks for experimenting, don't feel bad, let me send you a base piece, please email me with your zip code and last name and copy this message, matt@ineedhemp.com, be sure to specify whether you want the deep bowl or shallow bowl.

thanks

See it that Matt is pretty bad at responding to emails in a timely fashion I will comment here... I recently purchased the 2.5 and hopefully will get it tomorrow... I emailed him to ask which did he prefer the evic or invader with his product but from the thread I can see the invader will be my weapon of choice... Thanks guys!

hey when did you email me? , did you have a nice fourth of july? it's monday and i am back at it. should have all emails answered by end of the day..

the invader mini is my choice, because the evic vt switches back to wattage mode for some untold reason, about 1 in 20 uses, other than that i do like the evic . but i want perfection.

Just got the invader mini in today. So excited. So I have a conflicting experience with Matt's video. I'm not sure if you have version 1 or 2 of the invader mini. Version 2 came with packaging that had a slimmer printed label around the package whereas the older version has a printed label that covered the entire package. Anyway I put it so far at 330f, 350f, and 360f, i need to spend more time in each setting put first impressions are great. At 330 and 350 the hits are ridiculously smooth and flavorful. Definitely an upgrade in flavor. I set the invader mini at 15w and mid 300'sf. What do everyone use?
The donut doesn't glow at all yet I get good hits. I noticed to achieve temp in the 300's f, watts don't ever pass 15w. So why risk inputting a higher Wattage that may potentially crack the donut yet serves no purpose.

I don't have any means of measuring the heat of the coil but I'm not sure if the temperature reading is actually what the mod says it is. I read somewhere that canabanoids Vaporizes at 356F, and terpenes at a lower temp. Setting the invader mini at 15w at 350 is definitely different than setting it at 330F at 15 w. Cloud production is the same but I cough a bit more at 350F. Also at 350F, the hits give a heavier high, but hits are a bit more flavorful at 330F. So far I prefer the effects of 330F for daytime. Need to experiment more. Someone please provide an accurate reading of the temp on the donut if you have an accurate devices of some type. I heard the infrared guns are inaccurate.

It wouldn't surprise me if the donut isn't reaching the temperature which is displayed on the device, but I'm not sure it matters (to me). Sure it would be nice to know the exact temperature, but at least you can find a "setting" that you like and the device won't go higher than that setting.

Any issues with the invader mini jumping out of temperature control mode like the Evic-VT?

the Evics jumping issue is only when the leads are not tight. happened to me for the first time the other day. tightened the leads and no issues since.

No problems with the invader jumping out of tc mode at all. It is a proven tc mod in the e cig world and my experience with it is the same. As for Temps. I believe terpenes vape at 280-300F. And canabanoids vape at 350F so it would be awesome to reach the desired ranges. I'm gonna try 300F and report back later on

Hi all!

I just received my Divine Tribe ceramic donut v2.5 today. This is my first time trying a Divine Tribe product. Definitely a great build quality although I wish we had options in terms of color. I tried some fairly viscous CO2 oil and it hit great!

A few questions though. Is it possible to disassemble the base? I'm wondering where any leaking oil will end up. How do you clean the base if the air passage becomes clogged?

What glass water filtration options are available? I keep hearing people recommend DHGate products. Can anyone link me to something specific?

Thanks all and great work Divine Tribe!

I am wondering the same thing... I have a v2.5 on a brand new eVic VT running at 370 - 390 degrees. The donut doesn't get red hot but I get great large flavorful hits. I do have an issue with leakage though. It doesn't get clogged thanks to the holes on the outside of the ceramic, but I am getting leakage out of the bottom hole that screw into the battery. I think it is from overfilling it though, but I don't add too much IMO. It's too easy to fill it above the two holes in the bowl. They really need to be raised on the V3. Any thoughts Matt on the leakage I'm getting out of the very bottom? I am loading small half pee size dabs of wax/shatter...

Yeah I'm not thrilled with the IPv4 temp control doesn't work with ti wire either.
