I've done an iso soak it worked very well. Had the plugged holes issue. Was blowing through the mouthpiece and shooting oil out the bottom screw holes? Iso fixed that and cleaned the splatter up.

Great to hear. While I've been somewhat careful to minimize the mess and not overload when possible, I've still managed to get the little dish quite messy ;) but so far, I haven't encountered clogged holes, or any leakage anywhere. Just curious if there was any reason not to soak it.

Regardless, this thing seems to really put out quite a decent amount of vapor, even when sparingly pulsing the power at 15w. Great portable, that's sever steps above the average LAYG pen.

So the site says

"Sold out till April 20th
reserve yours for next shipment"

Since it's well past 4/20 does that mean they're back in stock and will ship normally?

Well, it's 21 days since I got the v2 ceramic donut (and exactly 1 year on fc forum !).
Was working great, no problems, no bad taste, nothing wrong.
I got back from camping and loaded it up and began my medicating.
Somehow, instead of the warm all-donut glow I normally get, I had 1 bright orange hot spot like a fire spark.
So, figured it was time to clean it out a bit.
Ignoring warnings from this thread, I cooked it a while on my normal setting of 24 watts.
This has always been the sweet setting for me, and I normally quit before the device gets too hot.
Well, I overdid it and overheated the thing to beyond touchable.
Still worked, but I had inadvertently brought all the old oil to the top, and it had a bad taste.
So, figured I'd do it again, but this time with it facing up, to bring the oil back down towards the air inlets on its way out of the unit.
OK so I blew it. Got it even hotter this time, couldn't touch it without burning my fingers.
Then.......... well may it rest in peace.
Was a great unit, and I always told myself, if this lasts a month , I"m happy.
It would have lasted longer than a month I'm sure, without my abuse.

So, rather than immediately buy the 2.5 (v2 is no longer available), I am waiting for my FREE V2.5 bottom to arrive in the mail.

Any guess as to when we might receive our v2.5's, @divinetribe ?

Gonna love using ceramic again, can't wait, these metal coils are not as nice.

I did it !!! parts are all shipped to previous customers of the V2 that have requested the upgrade, if you know any friends that have not remind them. I will have some videos, comments and details to add here later in the week.
ONE MORE THING i opened up the drip tip hole and sent the whole unit to everyone instead of just the base piece. I added a silicone dab tool also.

Got my v2.5 upgraded atty today. Thanks Matt!

The new outer holes add much needed airflow. Much improved. Using it at 3.7v on my Istick and it's working nicely.

If you moved the internal air holes up a bit from the base it would be perfect. Hoping for that in a v3 and maybe add an fc-2000 donut wick on top and it would be perfect. This is turning into a first class atty.

Received my 2.5 a day or 2 ago. Way better improvement in airflow and cloud production. However, i have yet to get a decent taste out of it. My current wax is not the tastiest, but the only taste i seem to get out the atty is a slight rubbery taste maybe? Idk i think it may have to do with the airflow holes so i get more of the taste of the atty and the base then the actual material i am using. I am ok with that, but just wondering if its just me or what. Overall, i really enjoy the 2.5.
EDIT: Started using the pulse method like on the video and flavor is wayyyyyyy better now. The dab tool was an awesome little addition too like graystone said.

Been using this v2.5 for past few days and I am really enjoying it. Amazing taste. Great for sipping on flavors in between enail sessions.

I have stopped using it in vw (watts) mode and instead have been using it on my iStick in vv mode. Since the coil uses non resistance wire (titanium?) the ohms of the coil will flux during pulse firing. If you are using it in vw mode the voltage will go up very high to compensate for the coil resistance change. However under vv mode the wattage will adjust to the change in coil resistance (by lowering) which might increase lifespan of the coil and still allows for tasty/cloudy pulls. Idk, maybe it doesn't matter, but I didn't like seeing my battery go up into the 7-8v range.

Just watched the videos divinetribe posted. Cannot wait for the deep bowl version that was mentioned. That seems like the missing piece to perfection

Edit to add: thanks also for the dab tool. Awesome surprise It's nice and small and comes with a nonstick silicone sheath which will be helpful.

Yes if you bought a mod 1 month ago It's OLD! this market is innovating quicker than i expected which means we are going to get better performance from our atomizers..

All I can say is
Temperature control.

I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK ON YOUR TEMP CONTROL MODS< I AM GOING TO BE ORDERING AND SELLING THEM SOON ON MY SITE

The feedback from my customers with the new Evic and IPV4 w/ temp controls are amazing ..
for instance:

the evic-vt is very cool how it modulates wattage to keep a fairly steady temp. Choose the right mode, nickel or titanium wire, choose a temp (i do 380F, to vape all the thc and cbd and keep a steady stream of vape)

Then press the button and you can watch on the screen the wattage fluctuate in real time. The first milliseconds its 30w to instantly warm the wire, then you see it vary from around 6-14w, usually around 9-12w. Shows the temp in real-time, when it's hotter than your setting, it says 'protected' and shuts the wattage down not to overheat, very briefly. Its probably modulating the wattage 60 times per second or something, so all you have to do is hold down the button for up to 10 seconds, no need to pulse the button, no warmup delay time, no overheating, just inahle strong steady vape.

I got mine for $60 at vapor tek, a little heavy, not too big but a great battery for the price. I think a couple other variable temp batteries are hitting the market soon as well, from innokin and others. I regret getting my eleaf 50w right before this because it lacks this feature.

Thanks

Thanks

I have a mod with an authentic dna40 chip in it that does temp control with nickel and titanium. It was the temp control setting that I was using when I broke my v2 donut coil so I've been hesitant to go back to using it in TC and instead have been using my Istick 50w with the v2.5 exclusively so far. I will play around with temp control for a bit and report back

@ divinetribe
Check out the heatvape invader mini. 50w of proven temp control in a ruggedized case. Not expensive either. I think it would pair well with your atty (no all white though) cheers :)

What was your temperature setting when it cracked it?

Way to high apparently. It was at 510f when the coil cracked.

At your recommendations...I just loaded up the v2.5 atty, put it on my dna40 mod and set it to 370f and 15w. Wow what a difference. Full flavorful clouds and no need to pulse hit as the mod back down wattage once desired temp is reached. Still need more time to properly test my optimal temp settings, but so far I'm excited to be able to reliably use TC with this atty.

Sweet, this is awesome we have a cracking temp of 510f and a sweet spot at 370f
this information is priceless...

I Just ordered 10 of the evic vt . can't wait to try this out .

Could I expect a V2.5 DT atty to work in temp mode on my SX mini M class? It is designed for Ni-200 builds, and is all I've used for e-juice since purchase. I have even been running my D9 Herc SR 71 on it(regular watts mode) since my persei tops keep frying. We should be in contact with Yihi(SX mini manufacturer), the SX mini's chip is able to be updated! (maybe we could have them design a Ti mode!)

your guess is as good as mine, I have no idea if it will work with the ceramic technology

I just ordered a NicoMod and it has a Yihi SX250 J chip (temp control). I believe the exact same as the mini.

Anyway I had the same question so I asked Nico from NicoMods(one man show) here's what he had to say: "As long as the coils are between .050- .30 ohms it should work with temp control."

thanks nickdlow interested in your results for the Temp control on that mod.

To my understanding, only nickel and titanium wire have temp control compatibility. It is not accurate for your kanthal, nichrome, gplat, etc builds.
