Wow.
That's awesome Matt, your offer of the v2.5 to us loyal customers ! Wrote you a brief email.
So gang, it's been a week of using the v2 ceramic Divine Tribe Donut and I must say I'm a very happy customer. I've been using between 1 and 3 grams per day thru this device, and it's putting up with the abuse just fine !
I wrote a short note to a friend of mine regarding the donut, and I thought I'd paste it here for all of you as a review of the v2, and some tips:
" .... Now that I have the v2 ceramic divine tribe donut, there is no wire taste either, so I'm very happy. It's purely medical it seems.
So, I will explain the v2 a bit.
The v2 ceramic donut does not hold more than 1 hit at a time. As you saw, it will boil and overflow, and run down the leg holes into the device. So this is not recommended for more than 1 user at a time, or for loading up for multiple hits. It's meant for 1 dab at a time, like you would do with any flame-and-nail application.
That said, I get great taste every time. I'm using it at 24 watts on a variable wattage APV. If you try to take too many hits in a row, yes, it will get very hot to the touch. However this is also normal and similar to a torch-dab situation. There is no danger in getting the cermaic that hot, and yes, it IS vaping as there is no combustion or CO2 produced. It's conduction vaping as opposed to convection vaping, which is what high-end cannabis vapes do.
The V2 donut has saved me from wire off-gassing, replacing coils, metal off-gassing, metal taste, and waste. I have become completely comfortable with the size of one hit per load, and I do not try to take 10 hits in a row. If you need to take 5-10 hits in a row of wax, then your wax is not potent enough. Normal dabbers need only a few dabs to reach a level where they can wait 10 minutes for the device to cool. That is not a problem.
Also, the device does not heat up the apv whatsoever, meaning, the heat is not transferred to the 510 post so there is no danger there.
The only maintenance required is that some oil will enter the device if over-filled. That is easily cleaned up with some isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel.
There is a minor blockage when first drawing on the unit cold. Allow it to heat and apply vacuum with mouth and it frees up very quickly.
After long term use, I assume the unit itself can be submerged in isopropyl alcohol to remove any bad tastes resulting form any unvaped resins. However, many people simply clean their ceramic by boosting the wattage and 'cooking' the unit out. Again, no danger of cracking the ceramic or damaging your apv mod as far as I can tell.
If the unit is used properly, all the contents are vaped during each hit, and maintenance is a breeze. I suppose if someone hates LAYGO (Load As You Go) systems, they may dislike the v2 ceramic donut. Personally I have no problem with it.
So, there's my opinion of the V2 ceramic donut by Divine Tribe, at ineedhemp.com .Hope this helps you to understand how we use the unit and its application for a pure vaping experience.
(I have no interest in the Divine Tribe company or Matt, I'm simply a customer.) .... "
Just wanted to pass this along !
Great product, Matt !
