Discussion about MigVapor Bug / suggestions for a liquid ecig style vaporizer?

Hey all - bear with me for a second as I am not a new member here, so I know there are all kinds of searches and what not but I feel may be a special kind of question. Let me explain.

Here in NYS we can only get oil, tincture or pills. The oil is incredible expensive. It's mixed with MCTs. It comes in a prefilled cart for $100 and you can get double the amount without the cart for $130. It's insanely expensive.

I tried the Linx Hermes carts. They leaked. I tried some other cart before that. It leaked. I tried the O2Vape carts, they are ok but some of them leak and turn my oil black.

Ok now, fast forward to last Friday. At my dispensary they started selling the silver Mig Vapor Bug Mini. I specifically ask how it works, does it leak, etc. they are all raving about it. So I get it home and the battery is not working properly. I mean it's working but the lights are not the right way. I also then purchased a purple one from their website because I have two types of oil. I contact Mig Vapor about the silver one's battery problems and they are sending me a new battery and cap, albeit in a different color then the one I bought. So I may not be able to return it back (although) I haven't gotten the different color yet.

Also, incredibly shady is that they don't want to pay for return shipping they just want me to issue a return to sender.

Anyhow, fast forward to yesterday. Oil was all over my hand from the purple tank. I mean I lost a lot of this expensive oil.

Then I also noticed the silver tank also has oil in these air holes. So I am definitely losing oil in both of these unless this is how it's supposed be??

I would like to know if there are any vaporizers that use this kind of liquidy oil that you recommend that does not leak. I think someone recommended a kanger subox mini at one time and I didn't listen. Not sure why. Also I need it to have a small tank as I only get 1ml of oil each time and don't want to have like a 5ml tank LOL. This Mig Vapor Bug tank is 2ml. It hits really well actually but I can't be leaking oil. I'm really disappinted.

I asked Mig Vapor about returning both of these if they can't figure out why both my tanks are leaking. I'm pretty bummed. I'm really not sure what to do. I think I need to not fill these tanks until I know exactly why they are leaking

I would suggest checking out Elegant Aware. They have 1ml nano style atty's and ceramic, no wick atty's in .5ml, .8ml, and 1ml. I have used both e-cig liquid and concentrate thinned liquid in the no wick version tanks and they have not leaked, or turned my juice a strange color. They have a new cart for thicker products as well. Good Luck.

Ok my dispensary got in touch with Mig Vapor. I then called Mig myself. Great customer service over the phone. They are supposed to send me two new tanks. They also want me to check the coils.

If I get two non-leaking tanks and everything works I will recommend these people to the moon and back.

So What is an Nectar Collector ..

A Nectar Collector is a new trendy way to smoke concentrates, as opposed to a dab rig or oil rig. Nectar Collectors are unique among smoking gear in that they vaporize but they are not vaporizers; they are portable, but not hand pipes; they can use water, but are not water pipes or bubblers.

Few companies make them; Linx, Boundless and Magic Flight (as well as others) you can find them battery operated or Torch Operated. Battery Operated is usually easiest.

Lastly yes that's really really expensive. It really must immensely suck when you loose 100$ on a quarter gram

Hmm; thick co2 oil should be dabbable so it should work. you are right about the ejuice; there's not much of a good answer with ejuice. New Atomizers coming out all the time trying to solve that don't exist (and create new problems)

That is the shame of it; like you said it's all ejuice and you are going to have to deal with basically cartridges and whatever issues they have. Coil burning out before you use all your juice; tanks leaking ... then we deal with battery issues

I imagine there's a decent black market alive; that kind of hostile medical market doesn't sound like it would really hurt the black market much at all.

Tinctures; Hash Oil... let alone really good extracts because your dealing with PG/VG or PEG in your oil which isn't exactly healthy

Yeah it's pretty rough over here but I'm sticking it out because I want to be in the system when they finally get their shit in gear.

I got really screwed with my dealer one time and even though I got my money back, I don't really like to deal with. I can travel to Maine which is about a 5 hour drive but that's a bit excessive.

5 hour drive is a bit excessive; and you end up taking a risk carrying enough oils that you can be arrested for being a dealer. (Doesn't take much in Washington; 1 oz limit per person carrying)

and I completely understand not wanting to go back to the black market; I don't miss my old dealer what so ever. I am just not sure that NY is going to change their position; that's a pretty (darn) strict regulations and there is no real reason for them to change it. Those in power control what there is; and the price and they can charge whatever they want. I don't imagine legalization is coming tomorrow either

Yeah but how do you buy flower? if it's decriminalized but not regulated there is no one to purchase from legally? It's like how we were when we passed I-502 before the stores opened; it was not against the law to use. But acquiring it was still illicit

I now have 4 tanks from MigVapor for my Bug Mini and all 4 tanks are leaking oil into the airflow well. This can't be right.

Dispensary wants to give me a new one on Thursday. Let's see what happens.

That's sad because that's how they advertise them. TPD Compliant Leak Proof tanks

So really if your leaking oil into the airflow there's a problem with the wicking then. This isn't a tank you can rebuild (from the looks of it) so there's not much you can do as far as I can tell.

Pardon my ignorance (i could google this) but you can use regular ejuice no? your not working with what we call CO2 oil or anything like that.

If that's the case a regular MTL (mouth to lung) atomizer might be what you need. Sure the coils won't last as long as they would with regular ejuice. But if you can get a weak or two per coil and then clean out the tank and replace the coils... at least it wouldn't leak likely

Yea, the oil is definitely thin. Runny if you have it in a bottle. Like olive oil consistency. It's mixed with MCT.

Looking over http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/mct-oil-medium-chain-triglycerides.22466/ I think you could use pretty much anything. Prebuilt coils will junk up pretty fast (in a week or two) so based on that post I think using an RDA would be a great suggestion. I have no experience with MCT personally but http://www.aspirecig.com/products/tank-series/tank156.html for example is a very simple Mouth To Lung tank (that my other half uses) with the prebuilt 1.8 Ohm coils; open up the airflow and you can get some decent clouds or shut it down and get a more restricted draw.

It's likely just too thin; so your product is flowing through their wicking that should be acting as a _BARRIER_ . It collects the ejuice normally and then keeps filling it; it should be thick enough that it won't run through the cotton.

Well your either using Ceramic Cotton with the MigVapor coils or something similar; Japanese Cotton would be fine with this if it's a thick enough wick.

That said; your dispensary should be selling you products that work with MCT. If they are selling you tanks that don't work; stop listening to them and just take their product and make it work yourself.

Lastly; I have an old Twisted Messes (1) RDA; if this interests you it can be yours for nothing. I don't use it; it should work great for this.

Ok so here is the latest update. I went that Thursday. The new bug given to me for free operates exactly the same as the first one with respect to the battery and lights. That leads me to believe that even Mig Vapor doesn't know what their own products should and shouldn't do.

Anyhow, the tank also leaked. That brings 5 Bug tanks that leaked on me. In my opinion that product is not a viable product for the substance they are selling at the dispensary. Honestly, shame on the dispensary.

Now, Mig Vapor sent me something called a Canna Blast which is just a regular 510 cart with some special battery and adapter. Anyhow, that thing I like compared to my o2vape cartridges. It has not leaked yet, it delivers vapor every time I use it. It tastes good. Downside is the battery doesn't have a turn off. So it was accidentally on in my pocket and it got really hot.

The cart itself is good quality though. So I'm thinking maybe I'll just buy another one of these ($29.95) and two more of the atomizers ($11.99 each).

I get two different oils, red and yellow so I technically need two different carts.

Anyhow I was looking at the aspire Nautilus X but I think all these tanks are for ejuice and ejuice is a lot cheaper than this oil. So I think I'm destined to use these cartridge type vapes for the foreseeable future.

I ordered a new one to have a spare and it acts the same way... I spoke to customer service and they are sending me a replacement battery... however what i think is that they do not know how their own product works... I was told a couple different things.. that you plug it in and when its charged the on off button glows solid blue... That has never happened with either of my batteries.. I tried usb in my laptop , a recharger directly in the wall and per mike at customer service he told me to turn the unit on during charging, still no solid blue light... So i've had these units for about a week and the only thing i can figure is that when you plug it in to charge, the blue light flickers the on /off button starts off red... and then turned off. after a while.. no light... I can only presume that no light with a plugged in battery means its at full charge..

Also my units do not leak...

I'm glad your tank does not leak. I hope it stays that way. In the beginning I thought it wasn't leaking, but it turns of that all 5 of my tanks eventually leaked at least somewhat. Not to mention, I feel it uses the oil a lot more than another device.

I'm completely done with Mig Vapor. I have the canna blast carts, and all of those leaked as well. I have oil on the battery terminals of the pen.

The canna blast battery that was given to me has stopped working already. The auto canna blast battery I have takes a ridiculous amount of air intake for it to engage and start heating.

I'm back to O2Vape.com carts. I am trying the 3.7V Wickless Cart and the 3.7V battery, and just the regular .5ml Glass Cartridge. The .5ml Glass Cartridge so far is the one I'm going with. I've tried that one before, but with a .9mm hole size. Now I'm using the 1.66mm hole size and that seems a bit better.

Anyhow, this medicine is incredibly expensive, and I can't wait until NYS gets our shit together. I can easily go through these vials of oil so quickly.

Ok so now my mig vapors are leaking.. big time rip off and mig vapor has no idea how their own product works.. they are useless. how is the 02vape.com product working for you I need a new vape system and have no idea where to go.. Any help would be appreciated
