Different Grinds For Different Effects?

I was wondering if people have noticed varying effect profiles depending on if they don't grind their cannabis or if they grind Fine, Medium, or Coarse?

I usually hear about a difference in flavor and the concept of more surface area producing more vapor. But I have been reading people describing coarser grinds also keeping more trichomes intact and I was wondering if keeping those intact has a different effect profile compared to cutting more on the fine side.

Idk maybe it makes no difference in the end but thought I'd ask people who have maybe tested various grind consistencies to see if they have noticed differences more in depth.

Also, when trying to microdose, is their a grind consistency that lends itself more to that style of usage?

Yeah it affects the effects because of how they are extracted, there is a long thread about convection vaping with Dan Morrison, but there are so many factors, I do find microdosing easier with a more consistent grind, general even extraction too, but there's so much variation, a nice consistent medium grind is best for everything, but some things need more fine, some things need more coarse, and some don't need consistency, too many variables but yeah I think everything is going to help make for a different experience and slightly different vapor quality/signature with the same device and temperature and herbs used?
