DH Gate How Long Is Reasonable to Receive Purchase Item to Canada

Placed my first order with DH Gate on April 28 tracking indicates left Shanghai May 2 for international destination.

I am in a large city in Canada and just contacted the seller today with an inquiry. It has been 5 weeks since I placed my order. How long does it usually take to receive items?

Canada Post states that the tracking is not valid in Canada

Canada Post did reduce tracking for lower priority international mail a while ago. I assume the shipping method of you item was air-mail. I generally try to order stuff shipped by epacket as that often arrives in under 2 weeks and tracking works. Currently waiting on a ceramic honeybucket which left China on May 13th. I would imagine you should get it soon.

Seller says it is late due to bad weather and strikes. Since the last scanned entry from China Post shows the package left Shanghai May 2 on route to international destination can't see how weather and strikes would have any effect in it.

It usually takes a few weeks after something shows up as leaving China. I have no idea why. But since my last purchase arrived in about 10 days the weather problems must have been limited. Seems like a lot of excuses. It does say at Dhgate that the next will have slow delivery because of a holiday.
