Desktop Vape... Looking to Upgrade

Ok, so I own an EVO and used to have a functioning Cloud (original). For backup, I use a Solo. I'm going to send the EVO back in for calibration. The Solo is outperforming it again.

Can anyone recommend another vaporizer for me? I use nice glass, 18mm exclusively. I'm looking for a big cloud producer, along the lines of my original Cloud. I don't want a whip or a bag. I don't really care about price that much.

Any thoughts?

I guess your OG Cloud broke... I'd look for another in the Classifieds. Otherwise the LSV is highly renowned for producing clouds and has little restriction. I don't know much about the Sublimator, but it looks impressive and people seem to like them. I don't know of many others that can hang with those three. The E-Nano is great for its size, there is a decent amount of restriction but that never stopped it from milking the Mobius Stereo Matrix. However the Nano is hardly comparable to the aforementioned vapes.

Love mah LSV though water. You may also want to check out the VripTech. All have lots of glass in the air and vapor paths.

The sublimator is the only vape I've tried that can really go toe to toe with the VapeXhale stuff in terms of cloud production.

I find the sub isn't much in the way of taste, but my fuck does it vape strong. I find the vapour it produces is also very nice.

Some people often note that the Sub often has a "unique" high to it due to the way the vaporization happens.

I just got a MiniVap and it has immediately jumped into my top 3 with the Evo and Herbie. I still haven't gotten it down to a science yet, but we have some members milking glass real good with it. Mostly I love it for the taste, versatility and classiness. I have the portable and plug in modules, so it has already replaced my Solo as the go to for portability (both units are not stealthy). I am finding the vapor a bit warm on direct draw on the higher temps, but perfect for using with glass.

Since price isn't a problem, I would recommend this or Herbie...check out the MiniVap thread.

Hi there pal, I havent tried many, but from what I did, I can say that you cant go wrong with the Sublimator, just try it once and no more hesitating.

Thanks for all the replies! Yea, my "ticker" Cloud died after about a year. The EVO has already been in once after overheating. Now it just doesn't seem to perform that well unless it's cranked up past 3:00.

My thoughts on your suggestions:

Cloud: Nah, don't want a used ticker that will eventually break.
ENano: Not really looking for another log, I guess.
Mighty: I only want to use a vape with my collection of 18mm glass.
MiniVap: Same thing. Looks awesome but not for glass?
Herbie: Don't want a whip, want to use it with the glass.
Sublimator: Yea, I don't know about that setup.
LSV: Does it fit 18mm? It looks a little dangerous.

As you can see, I have a bit of a problem finding a vape that suits my needs. I really don't want to fuck around to get something to work with glass and I don't want a direct draw unit.

Hehe, the damn thing is working pretty good now with new ELBs and this new ZOB Fatboy. Yea, I think I want that fucking MVape but I'll need some kind of glass adaptor for it. It's pretty sexy :)

Anyone know how to hook one up to an 18mm joint and a HydraTube?

Here's a crude but effective homemade by lazylathe but ratchett is looking at doing
a more professional looking piece via 3-D printing.
He's doing the same for the Herbalizer + Firefly + Indica per his post below.
All should be awesome accessories!!

Heck yea! If I get a few parameters I can absolutely help! I'm working on 4 different SonG's (Silicone) for 3 different vapes (Firefly, Indica, and Herbalizer). Should be available later this week

I was thinking more like a GonG attachment for a bubbler...

for miniVAP

They are readily available and cheap. This is what I use on my Mobius Ion which is 18 mm.
It makes it a 14 mm so miniVAP basket module sits in it perfectly. MiniVAP is then inverted
over the basket.

Yea, ok I get it. Years ago I had 14mm and 18mm glass and used adapters when needed. I got tired of using the adapters and got rid of all my 14mm stuff. I really don't want to go back to using adapters with a vaporizer.

Still searching...

Is it that much trouble to simply put an adapter on your glass. You won't need to pull it out every time you hit it or anything. imo it's great to have adapters then your ready for anything.

No it's not at all. It's just a weird thing I have these days. I used to mod all kinds of shit until I got the first Cloud. It's hard to explain how I feel because it doesn't really make sense, if you know what I mean.

I've been reading the MVap thread about how to angle the unit with different glass, etc. and if I'm going to spend $500 on a vape, I want it to mate perfectly with my stuff. I guess the EVO is probably the only option for me?

I would seriously consider 5 he minivap. You don't have to tilt it if you don't want to it works best if you don't imo. The quality vapor from the minivap is out of this world I suggest you consider it. It handles concentrates like a pro.

X2. I just leave my adapter in the mobius ion, in essence it becomes part of it.
And the performance/ vapor quality of the miniVAP , paired with the Mobius is
unmatched by anything out there!!!

the issue of how to angle the miniVAP to the mobius is a non-issue as it stands straight up and
mates perfectly. My wife is able to do it sitting, standing, etc.

the adapter is one tiny, cheap piece that gives one the ultimate water setup
