Hello All I've been watching these reviews on the Mini Nail and Flowerpot B2. I'm trying to decide which route to go.I like to Vape Flower as well as Dabs. Right now in my small arsenal I have the OG Carta Focus V, Gpen Hyer with the flower and Dab atty's. I'm leaning towards the Flowerpot B2 whats your thoughts?

Forget ballvapes, Volconoes where its ataarrgg what am i saying forgive me i got a tooth ripped out and only just started vaping after a 10 days, my humour is lacking.
More Seriously, i would get a cheap titanium injector head, and build a glass path, use the same rubies for both, see which i prefered the taste of and invest in the fancier one of your choice. I went with a Qaroma , after the Ceroma and a glass diy injector,and dont regret it, despite its delicate nature. (still need a Titanium Baller.I have to know).
After 2 or three months with a low cost baller you should save on bud, they can be very efficient, and use the money you saved to upgrade if you want.
But i use flower(with the occasional sprinkling of kief). If i could get/afford concentrates i would love to try some.
A Downside of DIY apart from possible Hot Balls Burning Your Ring of Fire is it uses up one coil to craft it. removing the coil may damage it.
The downside to using ball vapes is an exponential increase in Baller VAS and a desire for a large collection of different high priced Terp Pearls.
I WANT Sic. Of course the large selection and number of terp pearls needed for a baller head mean when i get some concentrate i can finaly try the selection of free bangers that came with all my glassware. Or just stuff it in the holes on my Qaroma....

There is so much choice now with the baller vapes that it is hard to decide on which company to go with and which model. Qshop have the 360 version now too which is another one to ponder. Too many choices. I keep going back and forth between Flowerpot or Qaroma or Taroma and its not the pearls I want a large collection of, its the heads.

You can also build yourself a Tiodw kit from AliExpress. Tiodw head, coil, PID, etc'... bowl... everything is available there it seems

Yeah I actually seen that the other day as well. Was looking at rigs on Ali and it popped up. I've seen a £35 rig which would cost £200 if I went and bought it in the city centre. I'm going to order a studenglass clone cheapest I've seen so far is about £80. Would be some set up with a ball vape doing the heating. I won't be buying a rig in the UK again.

another reason to start with less expensive kits is that there are several new devices in development that could be better options for you later this summer, especially for dry herbs. And the PID controller from your starter kit should run other xlr coil-based vapes. In ball vapes, there are injector styles and diffuser. And of course preference between ball vapes is influenced by flavor vs. big clouds. Of course I want smooth flavor AND to finish the bowl in 1 hit. So I’m on a quest…..

And at a point i really needed the extra pain killing.
I like the V5 atomiser so much i bought a second one. as a desktop.
My Qaroma complements it , very different, but the V5 is a goto desktop AND a portable solution that really works.
most dry herb portables dont get hot enough or seems conductively burn the cannabis. And tasty tho it may be for some its still combustion if its gotten burned at the edges.
Personaly , for flower, if you love taste and hard hitting, go for a Qaroma, or other quartz or Boro' injector, the qaroma is fantastic.
If scary for the clumsy. Thats Me. The zirconia head looks interesting too.

I've got a Vapvana screwball waiting for me, kindly kept by Cal till I pay him on Monday then I'm going to have the time of my life discovering the world of ball vapes. Can't wait. Was going to get a Taroma 360 but they sold out at the uk supplier pretty quick which I'm now happy about anyway as I'm now all in for Vapvana products.

Happy for you CG. If you enjoy concentrate maybe invest in a press as it does a better job than an Iron. It's an exciting time to be a user of MJ.
I've got a Vapvana screwball waiting for me, kindly kept by Cal till I pay him on Monday then I'm going to have the time of my life discovering the world of ball vapes. Can't wait. Was going to get a Taroma 360 but they sold out at the uk supplier pretty quick which I'm now happy about anyway as I'm now all in for Vapvana products.

Although My missus would remove my intestines, tie them round my nutsack and hang me from a lampost with them. And pop the Screwball in my mouth for good measure.
Although next time i have spare money, i might have to get another Qaroma as back up, mine has been dropped a few times and now has a chip on the thread, all works fine, cant even see it, but it is so tasty . I would miss it if it breaks. Even though my Boro' DIY baller tastes as good (subtly different) the Qaroma actualy works better, maintains a far more stable temperature. Out of all the higher priced baller heads, its definately worth the money. Just its breakable.
I am NOT saying get it instead of a Vapvana. That looks cool Till its hot. Maybe get a quartz one too.

Had another look at the Vapvana, didnt realise, the titanium bowl that comes with it........ That kit is tasty.
Only thing I personaly would ask to change, I would swap out the gem cut rubies for spheres.
Although Corundum(ruby) is one of the hardest substances, close to diamond, the corners of gem cut stones will be more prone to wear and damage in a way that a smooth ball is not.
The other issue is that it is harder than titanium and could scratch small particles off.

The recent thing people have for gem cut stones in ballers is a little more risky than balls. Said this a few places.
Argument against that may be that we are constantly breathing dust particles, but corundum is used as an abrasive grit.
If you are vaping for health reasons its worth thinking about, if you are going to use the baller every hour your awake(I use it for chronic inflamation and pain). If its not so often i wouldnt worry too much, the scientific name for bongs and rigs is gas washing bottles.
Balls are also the best shape for storing heat. Mine are always hot. Annoys the missus.
If he isnt able to supply ruby balls, and they can be swapped out, they can be got for £15 for 100 at ReccomendedVapes in the UK, next day if you want usualy. Can be had for less on the slow boat from china.

Anything breakable is not a good idea for me, I break things regularly.

I will try balls at some point to see what I prefer. I use RVS myself and have the globe V2 bubbler, pass through and cage in the basket just waiting till I get the vape and I'll buy them. I also won the Dyna tip and prototype stem for it so I can't wait to get my goodies. Going to get something extra special for the first bowl and the globe has a third hole too so can run the screwball and Dyna at the same time. Bookmarked a nice bubbler in the cheap bubbler thread too for the slow boat lol. This place is great for ideas and help from more knowledgeable members.

I am skeptical of gems causing dust, but it is more likely than with spheres. As to research, Cal himself says he has only tried these experiments himself. That is a sample size of one. This is no criticism of Cal, I think it is great that he points that out. But it is not any indicator of safety. I also think his tests are not convincing of performance of gem cut vs. sphere, but I think he should build the vape he wants to have.

I am sure it is totally safe and will be a fantastic device.

Sorry if you already knew, but had you considered the Zeal kits?? There are way too many options for these type of vapes now haha so easy to stick with what you have know and like, so that will be the one I try someday, as I am still currently satisfied with my CC Atlas without needing PID for now

An objective sample size of one is far better than a subjective consensus of a thousand.

Looking at his website He obviously has true confidence in his product.
As to the performance of gem cut vs spheres, irrelevant of tests he has done, thermodynamics should prove him 100% right.
The designer is clever. Me not so much, so i could be wrong about the following.
Spheres have more thermal mass/volume to surface area than any other possible shape, therefore more heat capacity. BUT.
Cut Gems would loose heat faster, larger Surface Area to thermal mass/volume, exchanging the heat to the air flow quicker .
Also , there will be smaller gaps between gems, slowing down airflow more improving heat transfere to the air stream.
The small size ,2.5mm would further restrict airflow, increasing heat transfere, but with that massive array of airflow holes on top , i imagine it is ideal. Proper powerhouse.

As for dust, some people are more sensitive to dust than others, so may want to take the difference between spheres and gems into consideration. And again . Gas Washing Bottles. We all love 'em.
The volume of dust produced in normal use (NOT shaking it like a maraca) if any would be minute. There should'nt be much friction going on.
Would be simple to do reasonbly accurate tests for internal dust from baller head injectors, even DIY. Worked out how after Grass Yes's post.
Only in instances where you dropped it would any particles be likely. Same as with spheres, just slightly more likely to chip corners.
The internal thread on the body of my qaroma had a chip/shards in it for over a month from dropping it before i noticed. (outside was fine, to my amazement and relief .)
Doesnt stop me using it....did thoroughly clean it, and the ruby balls though, and remove the small loose glass shards. Next time i drop it ,if it survives , i will check and clean it straight away. It may be worth doing the same for any baller head injector if its dropped, more so with boro' ball if you are using them as they are more delicate.

...... Ball Head Injectors need occasional cleaning with all the ambient dust in the air around us that gets pulled through them with the constant use we give them......
If I was buying titanium, Vapvana Screwball would be on the shortlist.
The name alone makes me want it.
