Friends, I've been spouting off about a new glass maker and quality pieces the likes of which I've never before seen... Since I've caught up on orders, took some time out to take few pics.... These are the new adapters for the EQ mod kits. One of the greatest improvements is in the consistency of those center rings to install 1" screens with ease. Screens fit so much better. (These are nothing like the glass I've sampled from dhgate sellers.)

Absolutely, but in moderation. You're looking for an extremely thin layer. Don't have the heater too hot, or the beeswax will immediately liquefy.

From cold, I start up the EQ and hold my hand over the top. When I feel it start getting warm, I take a tweezers and a bead, then gently coat the ground glass part of the heater cover.
Works a charm!

Just ordered my 1st desk top vaporizer, in the Extreme Q, and the complete Ddave mod for it. Im coming off using only portables; solo OG, solo2& air 1.5. Any tips or links to usage would be appreciated. I usually vape between the tempertures of 393-413F. Should I use the same temps on the Q to achive the same effects?

I suggest getting a water bubbler with it. I use my ExtremeQ+Ddave through my D020-D bubbler which is (IMO) the best way to get high and it really hits me harder than anything else. I use it at 220-225 degrees celsius. After every 5 hits I stir a bit then continue, it works so good.

In my experience, the correct degrees for the best results can differ from other vapes. You should experiment with the vape and use whatever temp fits u best.

@Coal Cracker , Welcome to the EQ family!
#1 Tip: preheat 10 minutes with empty cyclone bowl or DDave Adapter of choice on the EQ, regardless of temperature displayed on the device. Allowing the heater cover and adapter come fully up to temp really makes a difference.
#2 Tip: @Laantje has some good advice there as well. The kit you will receive has both 14mm & 18mm Male water tool adapters included. Paired with a water pipe and mods, the EQ is a smooth hitting beast!

Arizer makes awesome stuff, I really like my solo2 and EQ! My DaBuddha that I was given just never quite worked properly for me, but if I were to clean its parts and give it another shot now I may feel differently but Im still sure Id prefer the EQ.

I think my V2.5 kit cleared customs, so hopefully Ill get it in the next few days Im so excited to try it. Just found this thread and read through it, definitely going to have to get more DDave mods in the future I think. I spent days trying to decide what to order before landing on the 2.5 kit after DDave answered all my questions.

Will update the post with review as soon as I get it!

I got my extreme Q on wednesday & experimented with it & it was ok. Thursday my DDave full mod kit came in & made My Q great! I've experimented through the weekend with different methods...whip,bags& bubbler, and they were all great. Coming from portables, your mod for this machine took my vaping experience to a different level, thank you! At the end of the month I will be 1 year combustion free. And I dont see me ever turning back.

@Coal Cracker Glad to hear you're liking the changes the mods bring to your vaping sessions! Makes my day to hear another in the EQ Family loving their vaporizer!

At the end of the month I will be 1 year combustion free. And I dont see me ever turning back.

So I got my DDave minimod kit V2.5 today, and I am very pleased with it! Ive only used it once so far, but I am very happy with it. Definitely get a nice extraction, the ABV comes out nice and evenly browned. In "smooth draw mode" (which is how I have used it so far) I got 3-4 nice thick and very flavorful hits before the load was spent. I loaded about .1 - .2 probably about .15g after a 10-15 min heatup of the EQ and the glass.

More experimentation to be done yet, but very pleased with my purchase! Im definitely going to be ordering more from @DDave in the future!

I clean all my silicone tubing with iso and only had one cheap China piece go bad. But then I might fall over dead any second now.

Absolutely, just don't soak for extended periods of time (no overnight soaks).
Half full of ISO and a good swish/shake, after getting the majority of the gunk out with the rolling pin method, works a charm!

what happened to the chinese made silicone tubing? Did it turn spongy and seem to absorb the ISO?

It was sticky and smelly out of the box and cleaning it in ISO made it too slick and it made the ISO smell bad, so I bailed.....Just dug a length out of the parts box still smells, like a year later.

Hi all, extreme noob here. Found out this wonderful medicine helps tremendously with migraines so I bought a EQ +DDave kit about a year ago. The problem is I just don't get good hits with the EQ. My glass pipe is best, followed by my handheld vape, and I honestly don't use my EQ anymore.
I've followed the advice here but just can't seem to get good consistent hits.
Here's my procedure:
1. Warm up the EQ for about 10 minutes (with the DDave adapter)- I've tried multiple temps but hotter tends to work best.
2. Load a good pinch (about the same I use with my water pipe)
3. Wait about 5 minutes and take a pull, I only use the whip.

I get about 4 or 5 good pulls then pretty much nothing. I stir and it get's a bit better but not much. I use the same amount in my water pipe and it just hits much harder.

What am I doing wrong? Any advice is appreciated!

Let's start with the basics:
* What temperature are you setting the EQ to?

* What handheld vaporizer do you have?

* What color is the ABV when you're done vaping with the EQ? The other vaporizer, what color is the ABV from that vaporizer compared to the EQ?

* Which kit did you get?

Answers to those will give us a good place to start working on this....

It's definitely okay to store the caps in the fridge, but not necessary.

Ok so I used your bowl loaded 0.4grams into it and placed the glass stopper over the top.
Baked at 200c for 1 hour and let it cool down for 30min.

I filled each cap with 0.065g of herb and enough oil to make dark.
I ate one about an hour ago and i feel a little funny but not stonnned. We will see what hour two has in store. I can feel it a little in my head. will say in love the new bowl. The funnel makes itnsuper easy.

I don't need everything else in your kit but I'm thinking for balloons and whip I may try and buy your glass screen and straight pipe

Maybe I need more then 0.065 grams I was trying to get by with the minimum. Maybe next 4 I'll bump up to 0.075

Forgive me as I'm sure you told me this before but what do you normally Vape as far as quantity of herb? That's the quantity that you want to start out with with this kit, even if it means having two caps instead of one.
