DBV vs. MFLB vs. Smoking Efficiency

I'm thinking of buying a vape cause I have to cut down my consumption. Now I'm lucky to get one gram a week which isn't enough for me cause I love to smoke everyday. A gram smoked lasts me about two days. Considering that, how long would a gram last me with the MFLB if I had the same amount of seshes (usually three a day)? And how would that compare to Da Buddha? I hear DBV gets you more fucked up than the MFLB, and if that's the case I may want it, but my main focus is efficiency.

The DBV will be closer to smoking while still being a solid vaporizer. I vape about .2-.3g/day, medical, and I have been using that much for months now. I have a Launch Box. You'll probably do better with the DBV honestly.

I was considering getting a Pax next, but its expensive as fuck and honestly, even though theres 3 settings or whatever, the MFLB gets you to the same place with or without the power adapter.

Anyhow, I just noticed that the DBV is under $200, which surely makes it a bit more affordable than the PAX. Although I told myself that I'd stop shellin out mad cash for these kinda things, I think im gonna have to.
Anyone here know if DBV is good to pair with a nice bong?

I would suggest the DBV as well, it will most likely be more efficient, atleast my LSV is compared to my MFLB.

I dunno I can use way less in my flight box cause it's more work and when I use my whip vape I fog it up. I like my MFLB and don't regret it's purchase at all but if I had to choose one it would be my whip vape. You can use your dbv as efficiently I surmise, but self restraint isn't always my strong suit. Most of the time I am in a hurry my whip vape does the job with a quickness if needed.

Cereal- dbv + water tool =

Wow the lsv looks legit. Is there a general consensus as to which is better for powerful "fast acting" vapes; dbv or lsv? Also is lsv battery powered?

Cereal_MF,
The DBV and LSV are basically the same just in a different form factor, they are made by the same company named '7th Floor'.

How many seshes do you have a day? How many hits each sesh? Efficiency is my biggest concern. If it doesn't use less weed than smoking, it'd be a waste of my money.

I think id rather go for the LSV especailly because it has multiple functions built in, but the 1 thing im concerned about is the handle getting too hot. ive heard this is an issue.

mod note: Do not hijack someone else's thread.

Cereal_MF,
Vaporizing period is more efficient than combusting. One of the reasons why I switched over to vaping.

Cereal - You are correct, it only happens when you have the knob past 12 o clock and on for like an hour. Mine is usually always at max though lol,I often turn down the power between hits but sometimes i do forget and it gets ppretty hot. On the bright side, it heats upfast. If i had to do it all over again i would still purchase the LSV, it pairs great with my glass.

Well the question is, do you need portability for on the go, if so then clearly the MFLB wins. If you just care about efficiency then I'd say get the DBV. When I got my LSV I stopped using my MFLB.

Portability is of little concern to me. I figure if I want to use it with my friends I can just bring it in the hemp bag it comes with. Efficiency, and getting the highest, are my primary concerns. I have to find a way to make a gram go from lasting 2 days to about a week; at least that's what I'm hoping for.

If you plan on using it with friends then you want the dbv. The MFLB is not a party vape IMO.

Efficiency, and getting the highest, are my primary concerns.
Getting the highest means using quite a bit of herb. The DBV is certainly better than the MF for getting you higher, quicker, but in order to maximize/stretch your supply, you're going to have to use discipline, no matter what model or brand you use. Load up the DBV bowl and take big hits, and you're gonna use up your bowl contents in a hurry. Loading small amounts, or taking small hits, will be more frustrating than with a vape like the MF or CRZ (log vape), and it'll take you longer to get "the highest". There's no vape you can buy that'll get you slammed in a hurry on half the amount. If you want big hits (what the DBV is for) you'll use more herb. If you want to avoid wasting vapor, you'll have to go for small hits you can more easily process, and it'll take you longer to get where you want to be.

You should consider other non-portable alternatives as well before making your final decision as well as big portables so you can have some mobility without sacrificing much on the quality of the overall experience.

The Arizer Solo comes to mind as well as the log type vaporizers, specificaly the Heat Island (HI), Underdog (UD) and Wychwood (WW) which are my preferences, there is also the Ceramic RockZap (CRZ), the EpicVape (EV) and Old City Diffusers (OCD).

There is also the Cloud, considered by many to be the ultimate vaporizer but at a much higher price-tag.

If you already considered other alternatives and narrowed it to the MFLB and the DBV, i suggest you get the DBV. The two main downsides for me are, it is not easily concealable and, due to a big bowl, it is difficult to conserve your material.
The MFLB is an excelent vaporizer as well, and with the Power Adapter becomes even more enjoyable but it lacks IMO the heavy hitter capacity that gets you higher much faster in the DBV.

This heavy hitter capacity is a blessing (gets you higher faster) and a curse (at the expense of more mj used). The DBV has the added advantage of a more effective vaporizing process since it vaporizes mainly by convection, which allows for the flavour to last longer and the herb is vaped more evenly in less difficulty than the MFLB.

As for smoking, the health issues alone make me not even consider it as an alternative anymore. If you stick to vaporizing long enough, you will see it outweighs smoking in every way.

It's unclear how experienced you are with vaporizing. If possible, you should try some of the vaporizers mentioned here if you know anyone who has one. The experience of vaporizing is different than smoking. Not better or worse, just different. When you smoke, you pretty much get it all in a big combusted rush. Vaporizing is more subtle and sort of sneaks up on you. The sessions are also different. When you smoke, you light it, inhale it and you're done in a minute or two. Vaporizing sessions can take 10-15 minutes, unless you're using a one-hitter like the Magic Flight. Even then it takes several hits to vaporize a trench. As far as efficiency, that's also going to be subjective until you find out how much vape you need to get you to where you want to be. Personally, once I got the hang of vaporizing (and each device has its own learning curve) I would never go back to smoking. It can conserve more herb but that will depend on your consumption. If portability is not a priority, I'd consider the DBV or the solo. No disrespect to the MFLB, but I consider it more a stealthy personal portable, though I do use it at home sometimes.

I've vaped numerous times. It's a much more psychedelic high than smoking, and I love it. I think I'm going to go with the Magic Flight. My brother has one and I really enjoyed using it.

you can't go wrong with that one, I've seen them on Amazon for a good price. you might also consider the Power Adapter at some point. I don't have one but people here like them a lot.
