Cloudy...
Miqro will be dropping on my doorstep in a few hours. Going to be happy or utterly disappointed haha. Hoping it's perfect for my needs. Will update later

I still have hopes that the cleaning issue has been fixed. A vape this size with easy to find batteries is like a dream come true...

E z to find batteries? Where? I have no idea where to get them from a good source.

Thanks, DaVinci! Got my pre-order in for the “rust” color MIQRO.

I’ve been loving my IQ since getting it when it came out. It’s a fantastic little device, especially in small group sessions.

The MIQRO looks like a much more personal experience. A seriously on the go one-hitter for the electronic vape age. I like the simpler, smaller and more straight forward design of the MIQRO. My hands are larger than average and this looks like the perfect stealth vape (I have a PAX 3 and it’s a bit too tall to completely conceal in one hand.)

Can’t wait to try it...

It's changed, for sure, and here's what I could tell...

- the IQ would get herb buildup directly below the oven (I'll call this the left side, when looking from below) and oil buildup to the right. The herb buildup on my IQ was like a stuck rock since I'd never cleaned it. I just chipped away at this with a dental pick until it came out. I couldn't see the oil buildup like I could the herbs, but it was evident when I pushed the dental pick up there and scraped to the right with some iso soaked cotton.
- the MIQRO changes look like they've gotten rid of the herb buildup to the left. The vapor path and gasket are all the way to the left so there's not a ledge there to catch herbs anymore.
- It looks like there is still a ledge to the right, but I can't tell. But three of the oven holes are either blocked, or they're more likely positioned over a ledge like before, because they aren't positioned over the vapor path. If there is going to be any buildup, it's gong to be to the right.
- My dental pick won't fit down the MIQRO's more narrow vapor path, so I don't know what I'm going to use to clean the ledge to the right.
- I've said it before and want to be clear, this is all just from a visual inspection of both vapes. I haven't taken either apart, and I haven't used the MIQRO enough to know if buildup is going to be a problem. The answer is months away.

Well fuck, this gives me incentive to get an oz and put this miqro to the test and see if we get any build up. Either we will be very happy that there is no build up or all be figuring out what tool works best to clean it haha, which would be a bummer :(. Hoping it all goes well. Just got my notification of delivery :)

Either way, I think you'll dig it. It's a tight little unit that has a place in any collection. I really thought the small bowl and short battery life would end it for me, but it didn't. Fully packed, it can pack a punch.

Sweet! Thanks bro! You saying that gives me some reassurance of my purchase. Running some burn offs now. Def has some stink to it. In the chamber and around the silicone for the mp. Smells like a brand new sneaker. On 3rd burnoff and it's still pretty prevalent

Edit: so I loaded one bowl and it was awful. That's all I have to say right now. Ran out of weed actually the miqro wasted my last bowl :(. The restriction of air flow for me was insane and I wasn't able to get much vapor at the highest temp. Mayb I packed it too tight? Or too full idk. Gotta go get more goodies to test. Tested two more bowls and the 3rd was a success. Not huge clouds but started at 385 an drew got some really thin tasty vapor, very delightful if you ask me. That's one this vape has really good, flavs all I've read the tongue for a couple nice hits. This is a changer of pace kind of vape for me. I'm into cloudage but I actually have good effect going on right now.definately have to waiting in between hits. So far it's decent for what I think is. And it works, I have to figure out the best way to pack it. My material is pretty moist/sticky right now so I may be getting no less vapor because of that. More testing to come

Battery life is the thing I’m the most curious to test. I have a backlog of this size battery, so I can carry a few. But the fewer times it needs to be swapped out the better.

After using this thing the right way with a fine grind and a tight pack. I get very tasty light vapor. It's actually quite pleasant and gets me where I want to be, surprisingly effective. I guess I don't need big vapor production to get effects that I want :). The flavor is just super good on this thing. Flavor is prolly the best part about the vape. Battery has been ok. 3 packs atleast on full blast. I try not to drain it all the way so idk exactly when it craps out. But 2 fully charged batteries would do the job for a day mayb, depending on usage. For being so small and combact I do like the feel of it but it is slick. Really easy to drop. So far so good

Thanks for the update , that's good news about flavour, and an absence of clouds at lower temps will be helpful for discretion, so that sounds ideal (To me at least)

How many sessions does it take to get through a single load ?
And what's your favourite vape for flavour?

I got the Miqro on Friday and used it several times over the weekend. Here are my first impressions:

It is well made, feels very good in my hand. I got the Explorer upgrade, which includes some nice extras. I am impressed with the quality of the accessories (especially the battery holder, the carrying case and the pretty USB cord. Though not impressed with the tamping tool).

It heats up a little slower than the Fury 2 and Pax 3 (ones I own that are probably closest to compare) but not slow enough to be frustrating, IMO.

The flavor is very good. I wiped out the oven with ISO and didn’t bother with any burn off’s and had no issue with residual machinery taste at all.

On level 1 and 2 the vapor is nonexistent to wispy, but from level 3 and above (I believe the temp at 3 is 390F) there is nice vapor to be seen.

I have used it about 10 times and so far, have not needed to clean anything. The oven is still completely clean, no need to even brush it out thus far. But obviously, time will tell on this.

One thing that is disappointing is that this was marketed as a microdosing vape. However, you need at least .1 grams to get good results. And to me, .1 is on high end of microdosing, if at all. The pearl does not go down far enough to help... I really think @Davinci_vaporizer should see if they can improve this to make it a true microdoser.

But, when you pack in a nice amount of herb, and turn it up a bit, the flavor is very good and lasts through a session, which is impressive. I never stir, and I get nice even ABV. I haven’t filled the oven to the top, usually about half to 3/4 full, so results may be different when full.

It gets hot on higher temps, the glove it comes with is necessary, but I like the look of it, (see pictures) so it isn’t a huge deal to me. But the mouthpiece (both of them) also gets pretty hot too. Luckily, the battery life is short, so just when your lips start burning, the battery dies and switching to new battery gives some time to cool down!

Speaking of battery - GET A FEW EXTRA!! I knew going in the battery life would be short, so I am not maligning, just pointing out that extra batteries are a must. I kept forgetting to time the life of the battery until late last night, so I will update you with an approximate runtime shortly.
@Davinci_vaporizer - what is the highest mAh you recommend should be used?

Here are a few comparison pics with Fury 2 and Pax 3. I have some pics with the extended mouthpiece (which I like best) and one with regular mouthpiece.

Unlike @Jill NYC I had a pretty bad taste to get rid of, but it's gone now (a bunch of burn ins and a swab down with Iso) completely as far as I can tell, and flavour (on the 4 bowls I've done so far) is excellent.

Quite a step up from what I was expecting (this is my first good electric conduction vape) and a VERY pleasant surprise.
I'm finding clouds are dense and plentiful at high temp's, but flavour up there, although remaining strong, is a little 'dark and roasty' for my taste (not by much though).

I see myself using the low temp smart paths most though, as there is still good cloudage (if that matters to you, I kinda like it, sometimes) but flavour at the start of a bowl is both very strong, and fairly delicious too :rockon:

My early impression of the build and design are really good, Apple level vape here folks (not an Apple adherent myself, but you know what I mean right?).
The accessories supplied with the Explorers kit is as described on DV's site (and above, I even went with the rust colour too @Jill NYC ) And feels pretty comprehensive .
Operation is very different to any of the vapes I have experience of, and also offers comprehensive modes of operation, but the learning curve hasn't been bad at all, despite the limited (but stylish!) nature of the screen.
So far operation has been smooth barring one minor difficulty:
The instructions say that to switch from Smart Path mode to Precision Mode, the user is required to "click the control button".
They aslo say that while in Smart Path mode the user can check the current temperature by; "Press control button once".
I eventually worked out that to actually move into Precision Mode I had to press the control button, followed immediately by either temp' up, or down to prevent the mIQro simply showing me the current temp, then immediately reverting to Smart Path mode.

Anyone else found this?
It's early days, and entirely possible that I'm failung to comprehend the correct operation.

It's NBD now that I can switch modes though.

I have yet to try my usual microdosing, but efficiency is on point so far.

This little monster seems to be the real deal, which I'm very happy about as I was concerned that I would not enjoy conduction vaping, but I had to try, and I'm glad that I did

I will report any developments after I have used the mIQro a decent amount.

@Jill NYC and @Copacetic thanks for sharing your thoughts!

About the .1g, I'm addressing this with the dev team. I've managed to do less with the MIQRO, but we could offer a larger pearl? Something to contemplate. I know that clearance is an issue with the lid here.

And the battery- we have a 900Mah that comes stock, although our engineer said he was testing 1200 Mah batteries as well. If you can find one that's "really" 1200 Mah, might get an extra session or two out of the unit. We're always searching for upgrades here too.

How about lengthening the silicone post a few mm?
My pearl does seem very loose on the post BTW.
I do like the oval shape to the oven and pearl (can't unscrew when lid is shut, so you don't end up with a red hot pearl dropping from your oven on to God knows where

I haven't felt the need for a smaller capacity yet, but I haven't tried proper microdosing yet either.

I can see me using this as an 'armchair' vape a fair bit despite the battery swapping (because it's been made very easy) so I would buy at least a couple more good 18350s.

Flavor is more subjective, but I really like the flavor. It is closer to the flavor of the Pax - very concentrated flavor, but a little lighter than the Pax. The flavor lasts longer on the mIQro than both the Pax and Fury (as long as you pack the oven a decent amount). The Fury has a much lighter flavor in general.
So far, I prefer the mIQro flavor but time will tell if it will last plus how much it will need to be cleaned to maintain flavor is also important to me.

I had the same trouble and it took me a few days to figure it out too. @Davinci_vaporizer should definitely update the manual, at least when you put it online. Others may not be as smart as the three (including @stickstones ) of us :brow:

Would any of these 3 be appropriate/safe/reputable:

Yeah, it might be slightly less than .1 g, but if this is supposed to be for microdosing, it should be able to handle a much smaller amount. It is the number 1 reason I bought it.
A larger pearl would work, but I can see how clearance would be an issue. Maybe a pearl that you can adjust once the lid is closed. (Screw goes through lid maybe). Or maybe a just a pusher (that isn’t attached to lid) like this one for Pax: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adjustable-Sandwich-Pusher-3D-Bottom-Screen-Set-For-PAX-2-PAX-3-US-Delivery/273111078538?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Sorry for all the “maybe”’s!!

I don’t have a Miqro and haven’t seen one in person, but...

Is the pearl replaceable? If so, why not create an oval shaped pearl to add to the kit. That way, the user can choose which pearl to use to achieve the desired oven load size.

The pearl is replaceable, and it comes with one extra post in the package. Different shaped or longer pearls would be an interesting option/accessory

Edit: It comes with an extra post, not a pearl, thanks @Copacetic
