Dani Fusion by Battery-free Ganz

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Got my Fusion 2.0 Poker today, its really noice overall a very nice piece, i find that with the wand i get sesh mode, multiple heat ups overall a really nice sipper experience, im sure i could push it more but i havent bothered, i use a blazer big buddy torch and in a couple of heat cycles cook the whole bowl, great taste too, wish the poker was compatible with other tips, i would love to use my temptest with it as well xD
I got my poker too, 10 days ago
the wood is beautiful (tracwood) and the quality of finitions is up to vapman standards (swiss made perfection)
mine has a couple of very light impact marks on a side though, likely after manufacturing (shipping) but they are very small and I saw them after first use so i could nomore ask for a change but i am not bothered too much, it will get more impact marks as it will get ton of use

cooling is way better than any other dany stem (wood, or metal), starting from cold it gives very cool vapor
there is a metal lining almost the whole vaporpath but there is a spot where vapor and wood met and that is the only bad for me on an otherwise great accessory.
This spot is on a hot place, right down the tip, the bottom of the pit of the poker is bare wood, the exterior of the end of the stem also get some vapor contact (few millimiters) in the same point (under the tip)
Wood is smooth in that place so I can easily hot swap with cotton tips without cotton fibers getting stuck

other things that could be improved in my opinion:

- the tip is a little too low, recessed into the poker, if you abuse with flame you can char easily the top of the poker (did it once but very lightly and after polishing no marks left) so now the tip is one oring higher

- the stem could be longer and allowing natively for a drip-tip. Wood get “marked” by repeated saliva contact and I kind of dislike putting in my mouth a wood stick. I added a titanium vapman tip to the end, kept in place by silicon tubing and I am happy now with both more length and a removable tip

very happy customer here

I've been extremely impressed by the Artemis, in particular the little condenser that's attached to the bowl (I've not noticed many people discussing this feature)

I'm used to using my previous Fusion wide open, with no finger on the carb, so was a bit concerned by a shorter stem with no hole in it. But the little condenser does a great job of adding a little more cooling without damaging the flavour.

I'm using hilariously small amounts at the moment - 0.03g loads - and I've been delighted how well it performs with such low loads. It's still early days, but I think I prefer it to the Tempest, which I still find quite fiddly.

Enormous thanks to @Shorner for passing this tremendous device across to me.
I've been think about the way the dani fusions bowl condenses vapour and it got me thinking about the Tornado by vestratto and the claims that it gassify's vapour by condensing it into a smaller channel before it exits the device, wouldn't the fusion 2s bowl design achieve the same?

According to ChatGPT,

Yes, it is theoretically possible to re-gasify vapor by manipulating its flow through a smaller channel, but the process depends on several factors, including the properties of the vapor, the temperature, pressure, and the thermodynamics of the system. Here's how it works:

1. Basic Principle:
When vapor is forced through a smaller channel or nozzle, the pressure can drop and the velocity increases (as described by Bernoulli's principle). This can lead to re-gasification if the temperature and pressure conditions fall below the saturation point of the vapor.

2. Role of Temperature and Pressure:
If the vapor is cooled or compressed, it can condense into a liquid. To reverse this, the system would need to add energy (e.g., heat) or reduce the pressure to allow the liquid to re-gasify.

3. Converging-Diverging Nozzles:
In engineering systems like jet engines or chemical processes, converging-diverging nozzles are often used to control the phase of a substance. A high-velocity flow in such a system can cause re-gasification due to a drop in pressure and corresponding phase change.

4. Challenges:
For successful re-gasification, the system needs precise control over thermodynamic conditions (temperature, pressure, and volume).

If the vapor contains impurities or is in a non-ideal state, the phase transition might not occur as expected.

5. Applications:
Processes like steam turbines or chemical reactors often use these principles to manipulate the state of substances for efficiency or control.

In summary, re-gasifying vapor in a smaller channel is possible, but it requires precise control of the system's thermodynamic conditions to ensure the desired phase transition occurs.

Anyone have recommendations for a bubbler that works well with the Dani Fusion 2.0 without a WPA?

Or recommendations for a WPA and bubbler?

Nooice im a very happy customer too, i agree the poker is really great, i dont normally vape natively but this is one of the exceptions. great tip about pulling the tip a few o rings up, did the same myself before i mess up the wood. i would love an XL version in the future, hope BFG makes some in the future.

I added a Dynavap rubber mp to my poker stem. Keeps my fear down of ruining the tip with saliva.

Could never get the stock screen in 1/2 bowl position, so I tried a Tempest screen today and it worked perfectly. Holding less now but still a powerful pull.

Used daily.

Finally found a o-ring, that fits both the Fusion 2.0 tip and my 10to14mm WPA adapter without too much wiggle. Used one from the lots I got with my Vaphits and exchanged the first of the four o-rings. Now it won't fit the metal stem, but this don't get much use anyway, because the Fusion tip and my j-hook is a really nice combo. With the adapter I can cool the tip on my Reload 2 and keep the hook separate, to minize the risk of breaking it (again).

The helix of the stem fits the X-Stem from Vaphit, so I'll use this there to experiment with cooling.

This is what I do, even though I have the BFG Metal WPA. The 14/10 makes such a good low profile WPA, and the fusion 2 milks glass pieces so nicely. Really I just wish I had several fusion 2 tips, but I went down that road with the Dani's and don't want to be surrounded by even more tips lol.

The metal decapper I got however is totally clutch for both setting screen height and decapping/cooling the head. Very pleased with that accessory.

This one!

I can confirm a kollea clone is still available, although £60 feels a little steep for a lighter of mysterious provenance.

I wish I could recommend the dual flame flint Jobon as a cheaper option, but it's the most disappointing of all the 8 Jobon/Honest lighters I own - tank seems very small, and the flames are sputtery and inconsistent in comparison to the 1/3/4 flame versions I've used with the same mid range butane.

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Forgot to reply to this. I paid 10-15 USD for mine, and still had a few defects. It was fair for that price, and a very good lighter overall, but not more.

Had an idea, tried it and now present you: the qoq fusion:

The Fusion 2.0 metalstem fits, but not as tight, as the original stems, so you have to use it with a little bit more care.
Draw restiance is quite high, cooling is OK and taste is good, but the impact of the metal is noticeable.
Just a crosspost for everyone, who has a metal stem laying around and wonders, what else it could fit ;)
