D020 vs D020-D

What are the main differences between these two bubblers?

I thought one was larger than the other but from some youtube videos it looks like they are about the same size just a slightly different design?

I've only tried the D020-D, but I think they're pretty darn close to the same. The percs look a little different. Not sure if that affects performance much though. I think the D020-D has a slightly greater volume, if only because it's not rounded on the top.

Thanks for the advice, I think I might go for the D020 just because of how cheap it is, and I think I might end up breaking it.

I've messaged the seller to confirm but do you know if it is 14mm or 18mm?

D020 is 18mm but comes with 14mm adapters, atleast they do from DHGate.

D has just a bit more volume, the original d-020 is small, the D just adds that little bit making it more suited for me at least.

The D has recessed joint and more angular can, the original d-020 is more rounded on top.

The d-020 has slits at an angle. The D has like a mini matrix perc with two layers of slits, and as such a bit more diffusion points.

i've only had the d020 but found it just a touch too small. I think the D would be the perfect small little water tool...been thinking of picking one up myself!

I loved the D020-W the most but definitely agree with @tepictoton about the other two. D is way better for me.

What do you guys do about safe transportation?

Honestly, maybe I was just lucky, but, I would always just throw it in my backpack together with in those days my solo... Never once broke a bong that way... Then I must say, the glass on those d-020's was always fairly thick.

I guess a layer of bubble wrap won't hurt lol

I have a D020 in my backpack right now sitting with me in the airport and it is just wrapped in a layer of bubble and a jiify bag and shoved in

... What vendor? My SSS d020 came 2 weeks ago with 18>14mm, 14mm M to M, globe, nail and flower bowl. At any rate I'd ask to be sure but SSS pictures these items with it and certainly gave me mine?

Becky2018 didn't send a bowl, but sent everything else, though the two pieces both had cracks on the perc (she is refunding after a bunch of back and forth) None of them sent me anything that was 14mm.

I only have experience with 3-4 dhgate vendors, I was kinda thinking of making a collective resource thread on vendors so we could all share our experiences.

At any rate that's strange sss ddnt give you an adapter, I'm sure if OP orders from them and he put it in notes it would come. They've even got solo gongs now.

I am sure sunshine will give you just about anything of equal value if you ask. They are the easiest and most consistent to work with. My order was placed about two months ago so maybe their stock was a little different then.

I gave a small review in the cheap glass thread, but I would gladly elaborate a little if you started a review thread. I'm in the process of opening a shop so I've been testing the waters with quite a few vendors.

Hey, I hate to hijack the thread but I didn't want to make a new one just for this question. The GB-187 is the smallest one right? It smaller than the D020? Also looking at your photo, the D020T looks largest, do you think it'd be best to get that, or will I not notice a difference between that and the d?

I tagged that pic poorly. From left to right d020-t, d020, d020-D. The D is the biggest of the three. I think the GB-187 is the D020-D with a different name, though someone may correct me on that. I think you won't be unhappy with any of these, though the D020-D is my favorite of the three.

My first piece of glass was the D020D and I liked it so much I bought a different glass piece to have around in case mine breaks. After a lot of research I went wih the V2 FC MOD but I have to say I much prefer the D020D. I pair it with a Haze V3 and the Haze water adapter 18MM male and the setup is perfect for my needs.

When I ordered my D020 from Sunshine I asked if they'd swap the dome and nail for a honey bucket and they did no problem.
