That almost looks golden, sparkles are nice!

Yeah, the different colors mixed into the green is beautiful.

Reminded me of being wrapped in an MJ leaf. Very cool

That green is called " Chartreuse Sparkle " .

"Our Chartreuse Sparkle, just like the French liqueur of the same name, has green undertones which are beautifully highlighted by the high sparkle effect. "

A golden olive green.
Amazing color and quite unusual too.

While this one ...

is made with three mica pigments :

1 ) brown : Antique Gold Brown
2 ) red : Passionata
3 ) yellow : Gold Sparks

Cheers.

@stardustsailor you are really branching out!! The colors are awesome!!

Will you be finishing them all the same or will you add a profile when you put them through the lathe? Like will you expose the titanium?

No ,the Ti will not get exposed .
But dear Squiby ,I'm really sorry ,but i'ven't quite understood what you mean ...

My question may be convoluted with unclear terms....

I thought that it might be neat to add some dimension to the resin covered titanium stems. Either by;

Creating a channel into the stem, then filling it with resin and once hardened, taking off the extra so the resin is flush with the titanium. Sort of what you are doing with the resin inlay on the mps.

Or, by taking a resin covered knurled stem and creating a dimensional profile on the lathe...smoothing out the resin but also milling it down in rings to expose the titanium.

Ok ,now understand !
This option can't be done or at least it seems so.
The Ti tube has a thickness of 1 mm .
Still, that is the minimum depth needed for an inlay .
Thus ... :\

Or, by taking a resin covered knurled stem and creating a dimensional profile on the lathe...smoothing out the resin but also milling it down in rings to expose the titanium.

That can be done .But I'm not quite sure how the aesthetics would be .
To my eyes it would seem like something incomplete .

3D patterns can be done with the resin while applying it .
or at the lathe ,but not so deep that the Ti will be exposed.

Or if the Ti gets to be exposed ... :science:
..maybe a tapering at the resin could "smooth out " the transition to the exposed Ti .
:hmm:

I've plenty of things to try out !

Wow, you just keep your game up don't you. Always improving, always on the hunt for new things. I haven't been around for a few weeks but the progress you made over the last few weeks is inspiring at the least and absolutely awesome if you ask me.

Would also be a perfect stem paired to the coming DV coffee cup shaped IH.

@stardustsailor Haven't seen you in here since Sunday. Hope you are nowhere near the terrible fires in Greece.

You too @natural farmer or any of our other Greek brothers and sisters. From the pictures the fires have been incredibly destructive. I hope you guys are safe...

Ahhh SDS I see you have been posting in DV. Good. :)

And I see NF has been posting too, so nevermind my concern about you guys ;), but still great concern for folks in those coastal towns.

Last year (2017 ) the greek goverment refused to license a private bauxite mining company to
mine the mountain area -where the fire begun ,at multiple points ,more than 40 - because the area
was a part of the NATURA program .Problem was the forest .

Now the forest is gone along with almost all of it's wildlife and more than 80 people's lifes.

The Beast .

(...) This calls for wisdom.
Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.
That number is 666. (...)

1+5 =6
10+50 =60
100+500 =600

From the it's birth ,those were it's basic units ...
It's "name " ...

It's not a person.
It's a man-made beast.

And it has the power to unleash anything .
A fire straight from hell is just a simple example.

Honi soit qui mal y pense! ;)

When this record released I started mj. It was the soundtrack of a life changing experience when I still was a kid.
And this record of Brainticket, one of the weirdest German Psychedelic Rock groups. Toke a trippy sativa and listen to the whole album. Or some nice m'shrooms.
Times of chillums with temple hash, finest Afghani and phantastic green Turk.....

I 've an order that is giving me a hard time.

A brother wants a RCCT stem like the nightsky.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/artiuminsanire/42769617354/in/dateposted-public/

I've tried my best but nope.
I can't mix different colors ,in such way that they degrade from one to another.

I've tried to replicate that nightsky image on a stem ,
since it happens that I ;ve the exact mica pigments needed !

But no .
I need at least two more pairs of hands to make this happen.
Although I kinda dislike the idea of having the articulation of an insect ... :tinfoil:

Still ,I liked very much one of the three colors that i've used.

Actually is a mix of two mica pigments itself.

Black and blue
"Moonkissed nights " : The way the moon illuminates the midnight sky, so this almost black mica is illuminated by a silver shimmer. It is also the darker when compared to Bewitched.
&
"Deep Ocean Blue " : very deep, dark, mysterious blue with violet undertones.

(the stem is not finished yet )

While I'm unable to create "degrading color transitions " ( yet ? ) ,
still i can make nice stripes !

Here's one at the making ,inspired by the native American art & jewellery .
bronze -copper -turquoise :

cheers.
