Custom CARBLESS VapCap Ti stems

Something I been working on glow in the dark on top of finish

79 mm long "XL "stem .
With Dynavap logo and some Dynavap CNC work at the mp end.

Rough amethyst ,between hammered gold ...

Truth is that is made of plain ol' Titanium .









Can be used with an XL SS condenser ,but also can be used without ,with just a Ti tip+cap on.
Two quite different experiences .

79mm stem for XL ss condenser
17mm mouthpiece, concave, polished/mirror
1cm rings of rock (gold)
middle band hammered (purple)
2mm carb with notch, 38mm from mouthpiece end.

basically like this one, but with the rock and hammer switched

It makes my life ( and work ) so much easier !

Actrually this stem was quite difficult to make
( making stone textured rings is really a PITA .A hammered band is also quite demanding ,too .
Let alone the grinding it takes to make the concaved mp ) .
So ,just before anodising (it will be done tomorrow,i'm kinda tired to continue this stem today :

Still amazes me that you do all this on a pillar drill on it's side.
Your quality of finish in no way reflects the really basic tooling you have.

One of my @stardustsailor stems is a textured, non-anodized one, and it is drop-dead gorgeous.

Yeah the non anodized seem to get overlooked a bit, but the textures themselves are gorgeous.

This right here is a few pics of my daily driver. I added a grey ring t i tip (75%) and an xl size condenser pushed in to tip so probably half a cm before hitting the c c d. Imo, this gives the most major blasts.... Damn near weapon strength. The Magic of this stem comes from where? My best guesses are-something to do with- A: carbless- ness. B: rigid, true construction.( no 'give ' when suck pressure applied) C: the symbiosis of the host material( brain surgery strength TITANIUM) and the guest material in this particular construction... AND - D: just feels good to hold and use . Had this bad boy hooked up like this since I received it, and now its all i use.! - Cheers, D. Ps: these stems will show you another, more powerful side of the vapcap. Not for wussies... peace.

I will spend some time gaining experience with that awesome lathe.
Afterwards ,some new kind of Titanium (and/or Niobium ) stems are going to show up !

My stem arrived, and it's gorgeous. If you look at it straight on, it looks blue with a purple glow.

Look at it from an angle and it's purple. Unreal.
