I'm letting you know up front, SDS, that when I was ready to post this, I saw that you posted the above. I'm gonna post what I wrote without reading your post at this time cause quiet frankly I'm in no frame of mind to have to concentrate so intensely on what you wrote that is miles above me mathematically. It just would take too much brain power to extract the most basic of understanding & I'm not willing to expend that amount right now. It would surely be a downer & I feel too good.
Operating a carbed VC without a condenser and the carb hole fully open ,one sucks ( mainly )... pure atmospheric air !
Yes, but if you are covering the carb hole while heating & drawing, & feathering when necessary to allow air in to advance airflow so as not to have to suck/mouth pull as hard, I don't see any issue with having a carb on a condenserless stem.
To test what I previously posted about my 1x experience with a condenserless 17M, I took some perfectly cured herb & tested it again. I gotta say, it was the best sesh I've had with the vc & the highest I've ever gotten with the vc on only 4 GREAT hitse. The draw is completely free-flowing. And, without the condenser I find it to be almost pure convection; my experience based on the Ghost MV-1 & the nano. Even the way the spent herb condenses (shrinks down) is indicative of convection.
For reference, I used the ti 5-fin because the LE 7 would have been too much air flow. And I still need to test it out with the gen 4 7-fin & the ss.
The important thing to be cognizant of is the for some reason heating time is greatly abbreviated even though I'm covering the carb with heating. Couldn't even fathom the mathematical reason for it -- probably the answer is in your mind-numbing post above.

(Stupidly, I didn't elect to continue on with the next level -- calculus.

) I'm using the PS PIH so the 1st go round I combusted big time when I counted to my typical 4 one-thousand on the 1st heating cycle. So I refilled with fresh & counted only to 1 one-thousand & the vapor was perfect. I got 2 heating cycles & 2 solid hits for each cycle. Since this truly is convection, I think I used slightly more material, but, for me, well worth it.
SDS, I don't think being condenserless
with the stem I got from you would be satisfactory as I went with a very large carb size, 2.8mm (or as you would say, 2,8

). I intuitively know, it would allow too much air flow even with feathering. I'm gonna try, but I already know the outcome.
Either later tonight or tom., I assure you I will read & work on trying to absorb your above post. Damn, man, there's so much googling (for me) attached to your posts.
