No bounce tests for me. I'm good at dropping things anyways. I was wondering how the hinge on the case might hold up but now that I've seen it I doubt it will fatigue and break over time. I was wondering how the plastic handles a quick swabbing with alcohol to keep it clean?
Indeed, the normal PLA and ABS plastic I use for my stands is more affordable, but not quite durable enough for the hinge on the case. As such, the cases are actually printed from a PET+ material which is about twice as expensive as my normal plastic!
As crazy as it sounds, that hinge on those cases is only 1 layer thick, which is around 300 microns! However, PET+ seems to have no problem flexing over and over again. I have done countless full 180-degree open/closes repeatedly and found no major wear on the hinge itself. The *only* issue after about 50 full open/closes, the hinge can be torn laterally (like ripping paper). This requires a bit of force to achieve, but is possible.
I am currently working with an artist friend to design an optional sticker for my can-cases which will disguise the case to look like breathmints. The vinyl sticker will also act as a secondary hinge to increase the reliability over time.
Good question! In over a year this is the first question I've had regarding ISO and my plastic. (I have tested Silicone extensively with various cleaning chemicals, and found no negative reactions).
I hadn't considered it, but now that you asked. I have taken a piece of both PLA plastic, and PET plastic (PLA is used for my stands and such, PET is used for the haze can cases), and soaked them in 91% ISO. So far after 1 hour, there is no negative reaction. No discoloration or no softening of the materials.
I'll continue the experiment for another 24 hours, but I think it's safe to say you should be fine cleaning your accessories with ISO
With no explanation at all, it seems BigCommerce is now giving me the best shipping rates possible for US postal service. I have changed no settings in BC or Endicia, yet as of yesterday, all USPS shipping prices are now the reduced rates (best I can get anywhere online). I'm still waiting to see if I get an email from either vendor explaining what happened.
As such, these savings are now passed directly onto you! From now on, all first class shipments (domestic AND international) will be at least $0.39 cheaper than previously. Priority shipping prices have also been reduced, but I'm not certain by how much.

New products coming soon, AND I'm making progress with my silicone! I cut the catalyst mixture ratio by 50% and have been amazed at the results. I'm supplementing the increased cure time by using the dehydrator with excellent results. The aesthetic quality of finished SonGs has increased dramatically.
I'm also happy to report that I'm now fully caught up on my orders and starting to get back to work on some more R&D (Really trying to finish that infamous basket screen press I mentioned over on the E-Nano thread a few months back)

Print meant leave a mark. By Foot, finger, tire or nose...
Not very long ago print meant that you wrote in letters that were unconnected... by hand as opposed to script... "print your name here.
Print has never lost meaning in any of it's evolutionary changes.
A unique concept and word.
Each new meaning of print gets tacked on, but no previous renditions drop out of use.
I wont give a long history here, though it would be prosaic and fun!

I have, but didn't really see a reason for it (one of those things you really can't damage in your pocket). Any particular ideas for a case?
Fascinating isn't it! By funny coincidence, the term "Hot off the press!" can still apply to 3D printed items.
Due to the printing process used in FDM printers, many of my objects are printed on a heated bed running around 100C for the full 10 hour print. Sometimes objects are literally too hot to handle when removed immediately after the printer has finished.
You can't begin to imagine my excitement the day my boss purchased me a 3D printer at work to play with (literally play, no real intention of using it). After 10 years, one get's bored of a job, this was the first time in a long while I felt that "spark". I spent the next month full of excitement to go to work to play with the printer, coming to work early, staying late to watch the printer finish. That spark died when I tried (and failed) to build a comparable 3D printer at home from scratch (I used a 3D printer to print parts to build a new 3D printer,
)Though now that I have a fully functional working 3D printer at my house, that's completely different, I'm having a blast dreaming up new inventions. It's quite surreal to imagine something in my head, spend 20 minutes whipping it up in 3D, and holding it my hands 4 hours later.
Sadly my silicone only comes in black
But are you looking for a water tight case (2 piece) or just 2/4 slots with the top open?

Just something cheap I could slide em in that would hold them together securely. Was thinking just maybe 2" length silicone sleeve with both top and bottom open but a connection with another 2" length silicone with 2 or 4 batteries being bundled together at once. Gotcha, as long as it doesn't need to be waterproof, I can do it with silicone or 3D printed plastic - which would you prefer?

Silicone can look nice if it's properly cast (which can be a bitch as I've found, however I'm tweaking every day). It's pliable which might be nice for this situation. Plastic is easier to print consistently, but may risk scratching the plastic logos on the battery (Which I don't believe anyone would want)

Indeed, It's exciting to see how fast this technology is progressing. It will have an impact on everyone's lives in the future. This is only the start of things to come.
I do, but there are several different sized PNWT tubes floating around Dhgate. Can you measure the inside diameter of the mouthpiece on your tube? Shoot me a PM with that info and I'll let you know what I've got

Seriously though, everything is perfect and far exceeds my expectations.
The scoops work perfect and the widest one fits like a glove with my 2 piece large SCS grinder. Really I don't think it could fit any better.
And the stands... perfect
This was by far my best experience ever with placing a custom order that wasn't glass.
Thank you so much again for all of the time and effort you put into these. And the communication was above and beyond what I had expected. Cheers man

Happy to see everything fits in the stands nicely! It was a pleasure to do it, I love custom orders like this. It's fun to take something I've done before, and kick it up a notch!
Some D3DS fans may note those funnels, are a new design! @BoogerMan expressed the desire to replace his folded index cards with something a bit more durable. I came up with this organic shape (curved section blended with a 90-degree angle). This will be a new accessory I'll be listing shortly on my store (I'll have a standard size designed to fit the infamous small SCS size grinder, but as you can see, I can adjust to fit any size grinder!)
