Currently have a splinter V2 - Is there anything better for taste?

Some will say the Ghost MV1. Others will say the tinymight. Both portables. Both convection.

Best vape out there for taste is the Firefly 2, that said I sold mine as it was a pain to use requiring messy stirring with every bowl. For flavor in my present collection the Splinter Z with XL8R cooking stem is best for the first and second draws, after which not so much.

I can add, I had the firefly2 yes it has awesome taste, very clean and smooth. But stirring was a pain, I hate stirring I sold it. The Ghost mv1 is right there with the firefly2 for flavor but I think the ghosts vapor might be slightly cooler. I still have my ghost so that says something. Grasshopper is also good flavor but on the warm side.

Yeah my Zs and my og Brick are the best flavor vapes I've used.

Crazily I'm seeing code VISION automatically added to my RBT cart and everything is 50% off! Custom Zs for $84 plus shipping and the ZV2 and V2 combo with the cooling stem is down around seventy bucks. Jah bless indeed!

@eideal852 @cybrguy @almost there @Mr. Me2 @Shit Snacks @invertedisdead, anybody we should tell about this?

:whoa: yes RBT vapes top tier flavor, I would not say Tetra is better nor Tinymight, but I will second bricks and the like (all direct torch convection vapes) along with the Linx Eden as a budget flavor king that makes me not miss my Firefly (though Elevape was the REAL flavor champ honestly) Really anything with a pure path that is just glass/steel, but especially pure convection!

You should add more details of your patterns of use. Do you need stealth? Personally I hate having to stir my load, especially on the go, so MV1 or Ff2 would be unsatisfying for me. What is wrong with your splinter?

Owning most of the mentioned direct powered butane vapes I highly highly recommend the Lotus for flavour!
Elev8r is another great thing for that, but its more for waterpipes imo.
Lotus is the one I pick up first when I get some really smelly herbs!
Coupled with a J Hook or Vaporscope it makes stuff taste better than it smells :D
SB are good for flavour, but I always get a slight note of wood (tested walnut, black limba and padauk).
Its not unpleasant at all, but its not as pure as the Lotus delivers.
Out of the battery devices I like the TM most for flavour, although it disappears rather fast (2-3 draws).
Have not tried a FF2+ but heard only good things tastewise.

Haven’t tried a splinter, but I do have a Zion so I’d guess it’s similar in the flavor department.
IMO Minivap for flavor, and battery life!!
Not sure why members forget about this tasty powerhouse of a vaporizer.
Maybe it’s the portability?
As it’s more of a taking to the garden portable, not really a stealthy portable.

I use my Splinter all the time since it's so easy to get going. I just an XL8R with a bunch of quartz balls stuffed in the bottom. Also raise the herb using the 2 screen method. It's pretty good. The Ghost is also nice, but after the first draw I thing you need limit yourself to 6-7 second draws, as longer draws lead to hotspots(combustion) in the middle.

The Firefly is the best. Stiring is fine if I'm sitting down at home. It's just not the most portable thing. However keeping the temp at or below 320 can reduce stirring, but you'll need several loooonnnnnnggg draws to get it going

I've seen this somewhere here before, can someone explain the 2 screen method?

And, I must say "a bunch of quartz balls stuffed in the bottom" sounds pornographic. :evil:

I believe they just mean sandwiching the herb between two screens in the stem, like a cap.

Yup, use a rimless basket screen in the stem to create a herb chamber in the ground glass joint then use another rimless basket screen to hold the herb in.

Is the second (internal) screen used to hold the herb from escaping when using the Splinter when the stem is inverted?

@Bazinga here's an example ... I couldn't find anything else

Thanks. In a weak moment, probably under the influence, I ordered both devices. Haven't told my wife as she would scold me for spending over $600. Ordered the P80 on the last drop (Feb 5th) and the TM on 2/18. Haven't received either one yet. And of course updates from the makers are essentially non existent. Looking forward to their arrival - whenever that might be. At that time I guess I will tell my wife (merde).
