In the 80's I ate about 3 or 4 whole nutmegs.
I had read that in colonial times many of the
poor ate nutmeg to get high.
It got me pretty ripped, but my face
and eyes told the whole story .

The high was slightly nauseating.
Never did that shit again!

Nutmeg is a powerful drug for what one would think of a culinary spice.

In Ayurveda India's traditional medicene, Nutmeg is used to treat insomnia and premature ejaculation due to it is strong effects. At the right doses of course. Smallish doses actually have a very relaxant effect and as such valued in old times for its role in aphodrisiac blends. in a medicinal context one would take small enought doses over a long period of time.

Ive taken it many times at small to mid doses. You must get fresh organic nutmeg though as they are rich in content and all you should need is no more than a heaped teaspoon or to just increase from there untill you get the right effects. It also doesnt start kicking in for 4-6 hours.

What I have heard (from erowid.ord) and personally experienced nutmeg gives you a feeling similar to weed but more intense and lasts a lot longer. It actually takes 12 hours to kick in so take it before bed. It can be an intense trip. For every 10 lbs you weigh your take 1 gram of nutmeg. So if you weigh 140 pounds you need to take 1/2 ounce. Take the full nutmegs, not the powder

The high is nauseating. Poisoning is just what
it felt like. A strong weed type high with a stomach
virus, I think I'm gonna puke, kind of feeling.
As I posted earlier, I did it once and never again.
