People are way too into electronic music... It's the death of performance and the glorification of sequence. I don't get it.
There's nothing wrong with sequencers. They are a perfectly legitimate way of making music, and are way of creating certain aesthetic qualities impossible with traditional instruments. And remember, if you're listening to studio produced music, then it's not really all that much less electronic than your average techno.
Performance, on the other hand, can be too much of a focus for some people, who listen to music and attend perdformances more to marvel at the technical ability of the musicians than to enjoy the actual tunes they play. Now
that is the death of music.
I just want to hear good, interesting music, regardless of how it is made.
