Neil Young's 1978 concert tour, documented in this acclaimed two-hour film that was directed by Young himself (using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey), is a treat for the singer-songwriter's fans. The concept of the show is high (for Young, anyway), if rather odd: roadies (here called "Road Eyes") decked out like the Tusken Raiders from Star Wars, stage announcements from the original Woodstock during set changes, and giant amps, microphones, and so on for an "Incredible Shrinking Man" effect.

Just fucking awesome.

thanks for the love @Tweek - but tbh, it is a repost from my fb feed. a buddy of mine is a huuuge zappa and captain beefheart fan. both of which are like psychedelic jazz to me. which is great for when i'm in that special mood, but aren't exactly daily listening. he posts a lot of stuff and i'm usually about 50/50 on it (acknowledging a large lack of context, which would likely increase enjoyment).
this track, however, i found to be exceptionally phenomenal and really caught me. glad that it did with you as well. i had a feeling that you would be fan

i've caught a few of the the 13 floor tracks after a previous post and dug the hell outta them, as well as the budgie stuff (lucky you @Seren !).
the above electronica was very enjoyable as well.

@Bob Loblaw - yes, very! He's a good friend of my fathers, who's also a musician. When I first met him I'd never heard of the group, so didn't really appreciate how talented he was. He's such a down-to-earth guy, very unassuming. It's always a great night when he turns up for a jam

When I first bought this album, I played it daily for months. I thought for sure these guys would be huge, but they never caught on. I have great memories of this tune in particular.
