Convection Vape

Well i had to return my Tera so i'm on the hunt for a new vape.
I would like mostly convection.
Not butane as i have my vapcaps for that.
Has to have pure flavor.
Fast heatup.

Lets see what you vapeucted guys suggest

just_the_flu

they say im crazy but i have a good time
...does it have to be a portable? (flowerpot / evo / nano)

...portables, i don't think you can find a better battery portable than milaana (besides some of the (rbt style) 510 atomizers coming out)

...you said no butane because you have vapcaps, but iirc vapcaps are mainly conduction, have you looked into lotus? its 100% convection, pure taste almost instant heat up, and it has a much larger bowl than vapcaps...

...also it dosn't really fit into your category, look at supreme vape 3 or 4... it's a 'portable' but i don't see it as one imo it's not convenient as a portable (its a butane powered desktop is really the way to look at it)...sv4 is electric...

cui bono?
Wow, you've got a wide array of suggestions here!!! :p

My favorite convection portables are the FW4 and the Fury 2. Both available for less than the price of a Tera.

The FW4 will be replaced with the FW5 sometime in the Spring, but that doesn't necessarily make it a 'bad buy' at all.

Tubo would be a good option for you if you are looking for a face-melter.

Let me add a second vote to the supreme v3. With a j hook it's surprisingly portable. It's also a great companion to the dynavap. I think the combo is the amazing and hard to beat especially at the price. With jcat's electric coil mod you also can have the same vape convert in least then a minute into an electric desktop vape.

@P.A.M. I'm really interested in the Lil' Bud; the more I learn about vaping, and the more I learn about how I vaporize and what works best for me it's devices like Vapcap, Milaana, Tubo Evic, Ed's Woodscents, Lil' Bud, FW5 that intrigue me.

It's a combination of the fact that I like on-demand I also enjoy the craft nature of those manufacturers. In fact I don't think of them as manufacturers, I think of them as craftsmen, custom builders. And the same goes for folks who build custom accessories.

There's something about using something that was crafted by human hands. And I really the idea of buying locally if locally is North America. And I like the community around the craft vaporizers. It's pretty fucking cool.

yup they are craftsmen! Lil' Bud is made in North America and well priced. What's neat too is that the wooden stems for the Lil' Bud are crafted by @Alan (HI logs, iHeat) , so you get both Alan's and @Bravesst work in one vape!

Have you checked out the Nomad thread yet? If not i think you'll like it.

Expect a long wait though.

I have also been following the Lil Bud and that looks amazing too.

The splinter will be my RBT choice but that's also a couple of months away for me.

Another vote for the Herbalizer. It's great for single sesh or group seshs very easily. Add the steamroller and your golden. The Minivap is also another great convection vape. I own both and I can take the abv from mv and put it in the Herbie for another sesh and a half. You have yourself a good portable with the vc. The Lil Bud also looks like a good option. I have one on order. I would concentrate on a great desktop.

Milaana has been my portable favorite for a long time. They're built incredibly well, comfortable, powerful, versatile, and easy to use. I own 3 of these and I'm still probably going to get the (functionally identical) Mi 2. They're just that good.

iHeat is my daily driver for home. I don't really use it on the go though because I don't really think the box mod with huge wooden heater + stem form factor is manageable on the go. Certainly not pocket-able. I do prefer its heater design to the RBT's since it doesn't use mica or glass, there's less that can go wrong. Heating is more even, under abuse it's a "hot spiral" instead of a hot spot.

Lil'bud looks to be great as well and the initial pricing is a steal. It uses pretty much the same heater tech as the iHeat but in a form factor similar to the Milaana. Haven't tried it yet but has all the ingredients of an amazing vape.

I know you said no butane but I have to recommend the Lotus. It's incredibly powerful, fast, and by far has the best flavor of any vape I've tried. Vapcaps are great but the Lotus is an entirely different experience. Don't count it out.

Can't currently recommend the splinter since mine fell apart upon first use. Ryan will repair mine I just need to find some time off while the post office is open so I can ship it off.

Can't recommend the grasshopper because the batteries IME are terrible. Haven't had an actual failure like many others but none of my 4 batteries can finish off a bowl anymore and that's with extremely light use.

I have been following the Nomad-but not too closely as it's a bit out of my price range. The Lil' Bud though might make a nice birthday present in a few months. And it's not like I'm lacking in a great on-demand convection with my Milaana. We had a lot of fun together yesterday.

I agree about the Nomad; it’s beautiful! But you’ll have a long wait.

I second the Fury2 mention and will add the grasshopper. Best heat up time, unbelievable form factor,... I just love that vape!

I've been tempted by the Lil Bud but haven't bought one yet. It's very interesting. As for the rest, given the wait for the splinter and iHeat, I recommend the tubo. It's available, has great software that gets updated as needed. I like the milaana also but I like the ability to change settings on the tubo. You can set it to cruise so that it works for a minute or as long as you set it for or just leave it "on demand" so it works when you set the button.
