Comparisons of Bakx to the Solo 3?

I was wondering if anyone has both the bakx and the solo 3? If so, would you mind comparing them? In any way you find relevant, but also would be curious to know speicifically their differences in vape signatures.

I so far am exclusively using butane vapes (anvil, vapcap, tempest) and am considering getting an electric portable. I'm torn between these two and am considering possibly biting the vas bullet and trying to pick up both lol. I just can't tell if that would be redundant or not. Either way, thanks for any thoughts on it.

I think I did before but BAK is more capable imo heavier hitting higher temps purer too
Dope, thanks! I saw you comparing a bit on the bakx thread I think. Do you notice a difference in effects between the two? From what I'm reading, the bakx is a little more conduction/radiant compared to the solo, no idea if that difference is notable in the high, but im curious.

Yeah for sure I would describe it that way even though the solo is still very conduction it does seem to have more convection and BAK is pretty much all conduction, so the effects accordingly vary and even more so as the BAK has more temp settings and ultimately power, the purity possible too imo

I would prefer the bak it is more versatile…
And Bigger Clouds!
Maybe solo 3 is more idiot proof…
Because you do not have to deal with a mod but it is not that hard..
but everyone is different so are their vaporizer needs…
And in my opinion if you want to use concentrates or hash the bak will be better

I hope he makes a mass produced Bakx clone next, as that vape is doing something no other portable is doing, but no one can get their hands on one.
I personally feel that Arizer vapes have long been a mass produced form of what the BakX is doing. Glass stem that is heated electrically from the outside. They have just been lacking in power until the S3.

The S3 can roast whole nugs and can favor conduction similar to the BakX with a good heat soak but is also flexible with on-demand modes. You just don't get the Artisan flair and clean, simple wood/glass materials of the BakX, along with complete control of battery power that a mod gives you.

Wait, does the S3 heat all around the glass tube?

And yeah thr Bakx would still be superior to a copy. But even if I could get a Bakx I don't think I would be throwing it in my pack for a hike. I could see value in having both. I feel like a copy from Mike would sell to those who can't get a Bakx through trying, or people who would never spend that amount anyway.

The only thing that would negatively affect Bakx sales is how fast they can make them.

I think what Mike is doing is great. He is offering great value for those who have a budget.

Yeah. The stem slides into a cylindrical oven that's heated from all sides.

It's a handmade artisan vape. I don't have one but came close. I wouldn't take it on a hike. Seems a bit fragile.

Yeah I don't think solo is that similar, it does not heat in the same way, even though the little metal cup that the stem sits into does get hot on the sides, it is nothing like the steel ribbon wrapping around the more narrow glass tube in the BAK, more of the tube sits inside the heater there, it is just more designed for that with more power available as well... whereas Solo3 is hybrid trying to be more convection as well so inherently they are not that similar in use by comparison directly imo (even though you can try to use Solo3 in a similar way to maximize conduction, even try a whole nug and hash, it will not work as well or as pure as the BAK in my experience with both)
