It is so interesting that even for you guys that can use MMJ legally that you still are facing legitimate and serious issues.
It's very unfortunate you have to hide who you are from others, but it's understandable given the circumstances.I live in Washington State and everyone here still keeps private cannabis consumption very quiet. I try not to judge others and prefer to not be inaccurately judged myself so If I'm asked if I use marijuana, the answer given is no. Regardless if the person I'm talking to uses or not.
I know this doesn't help our cause, but I don't see this scenario changing for me any time soon. If it wasn't so detrimental professionally and hard on my family to 'come out'....maybe I would reconsider, but our current society isn't ready to deny old stereotypes quite yet and it may be a generation or two before it does.

I tried to use my med status as a fall back method a few years when some BS happened at one of my jobs. They talked to their lawyers and said basically what Stu did Federal law doesn't recognize medical use granted by the state...... I got fired.
Do not involve your workplace or even hint at your medical use IMO
