No. Not the tape. The cardboard spool inside. Someone mentioned that the circular opening is a good size to rest the ball in. Just the core. Not the tape.

Someone somewhere on here posted that a roll of electrical tape is the perfect size to sit the bowl in.

I'm planning on putting a roll of electrical tape right there on the table and that's where the bowl goes. I might dress it up and make it look prettier.

Electrical tape? I wouldn't risk my hot bowl on a roll of electrical tape, surely there are better solutions than that. I like the coconut bowl idea, maybe a wood turner should knock up a few bowl holders for this.

My bowl never gets anywhere near that warm in my use...

I also have no problem placing the bowl on the table, using the flat side, when it is right side up, so it is a useless accessory for me honestly!

If I'm sitting down and doing a session where my intent is to 'finish' the bowl and my carb hole is plugged, are the steps as follows: inhale with the ball firmly in place and remove the ball to clear the chamber, exhale, rest ball on table, then reinsert just before my next toke? Or do I let the ball rest in position and have the device sitting and waiting for a hit?

I guess my question is: Is the ball only in position while you are actively toking? So, it's only in position for a few seconds at a time? It'll spend 99.9% of its life off the bong?

I guess I should add, I plan on leaving it plugged in 24/7.

I wouldnt put the oven nut on while it's heating up because it will get pretty hot. But as @Shit Snacks said, it doesn't really get that hot otherwise.

I keep mine off if it's not loaded. Then once I load a bowl, I will rip it, pull it off slightly to clear, then set it back on there for a 2nd hit (even if that hit is a few mins later). I usually do 2 hits and then take it off to stir. Rinse, repeat.

Edit: I'm sure we all have slightly different rituals, you will have fun experimenting with it and finding how you best like to use it. Making sure the ball is in place securely is the biggest thing and once you do it a few times it will become 2nd nature.

What you described is correct that is how I use it, except when I take it off after finishing a hit, I will stir the bowl before setting it on the table. Easier to do while it is still warm, and that way when I want my next hit, I just pick up the bowl and put it back on. I do not leave the bowl sitting on the bong at all unless I am about to take a hit and get distracted, don't want vapor in heater ball.

Thank you, I must admit I honestly didn't know single-egg holders actually existed and had a purpose up until 15 minutes ago lol

But yes I think the team over at AoV could definitely work something similar into their product line, include as a option to add on with orders and such / offer them individually in the store, like the loading trays.

Definitely matching glazes to the bodies would be awesome, make it stable and I think there are more than a few people who would be interested in them, especially considering whats involved if you do happen to need a new ball.

I've not seen mention of anyone worried about their "balls" rolling off the table until the last few pages, just postulating a possible accessory... We all love our accessories.

Oh yeah absolutely always empty the bowl warm, but I will admit occasionally I do not stir right after, because some of the hits are so large and distracting themselves!

Haha yeah @bornfree13 had mentioned it early on, and it certainly can happen... Also regarding the tape, if it is older tape then a lot of dust could end up covering the stickiness on the sides, or if it is a roll that is worn down not too fresh, or yeah the cardboard inner tube... but yes this was not something I ever really wanted to do myself, although one time the ball did roll from me and I was like okay I see the benefit now lol

No accessories are fun, but I think I enjoy seeing new vapes more!

I had a simple idea of making a avb poker bowl without the poker and incline. Waiting on my spoon carving tool to make the bowl. I don't see the ball as a huge concern though, not sure anything else is really that necessary as it's basically concrete. It's to hold lightly soft boiled eggs with the shell still on in upright position. You just remove the top of the shell so you can spoon out the liquid yolk & whites without the yolk running all over in a regular dish (think small Pyrex bowl) when breaking the yolk. It's both practical & genteel. Sorry for being OT.

I think it's pretty cool there are so many VapBongs and VapBandits going out this week. I'm excited to see all the different glazes everyone has chosen! I have an Obsidian VabBandit (no carb) headed my way that's supposed to be here on Monday. Shipping to Canada is excellent for any potential Canadian buyers wondering. My current VapBong is going through a lot of flower in anticipation .

I had the most terpy hit of some Secret Cookies x Kush Mints #11 from my VapBong earlier when I loaded up the bowl (after some Wedding Crasher) and I couldn't resist a taste. I just came back to finish it as well as some CBD flower. I love how hard these hit and how wide open! Definitely changed my definition of a low draw resistance vape.

If I could own one desktop it would come from the hands of @Jaxel or one of the other Art of Vapour artists. There's a custom in my future for sure, I just have no idea what.

I just got back from the dispensary about a hour ago. I blew my back out moving a ladder in preparation for the big north american, east half, great snow storm on Monday.
